This is our first trip through DVC. How do I do about ordering/buying MYW passes for our stay. I know in the past I did it with the room reservation. Can I wait till I check in or do I just call WDW or DVC?
Thanks in advance for everyones help. We can wait 40 days to BLT!!!
You can buy them at the front desk when you check in and they will put them on your room key.You can also buy them beforehand and get small discount either through Disney or an authorized ticket seller such as the one on this site: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/tickets.htm#tickettypes
Oh very exciting!!!! Congratulations! You will have a wonderful time...of course, in all likelihood you'll be bit by the DVC bug and will never settle for a standard hotel room again, BUT that's another post for another day! We often get our park passes at AAA before our trip and present them to front desk when we check in. A CM will "magically" roll them into your room key if desired. Just a word or advice, if you get your tickets before your trip, make a copy of them (the back side) in case you lose them. That way, if lost, they will be replaced easily. And yes, tickets DO get lost. Have a wonderful trip.
One of the first things we did as DVC members was purchase 10 day no exp waterpark fun and more tickets. If you are DVC members, trips will defn be in the future.
It is still the lowest cost per day in the park (even with the no exp surcharge) - unless every time you go you use all 10 park days/10 fun&more days. We have been using them on short trips or if our annual pass expires during a trip and we don't plan to renew.
Thanks for the advice. I had thought about the AP. We are only there 4 nights/3 full days before our cruise in August. My boys want to maybe do Universal for the first time for maybe a day and then a WDW waterpark etc.
When we went in Jan we bought our tickets at undercover tourist a month or so before we went, best prices we could find, but the new computer system would'nt let them add it to our room keys. I don't if it's been fixed but it wasn't much of a problem.
