Hi all! I need your advice...
Im taking my mom on a "mommy & me trip" in May for our bdays (58 and 35)and mother's day. She hasn't been to WDW since we went as a family in 1986 when I was in middle school. My dad passed suddenly 3 years ago and she hasn't fully recovered. Im trying to make this trip is fun and silly as possible. I decided on a whim last week to include a Character Breakfast in our plans. I don't think either of us as ever done one and I figured it was good for some silly pictures and silly fun. I have it scheduled for our MGM day since we don't have to rush out for rope drop that day. I currently have a 9 am ADR at Cape May Cafe for the character breakfast. I liked the idea of the old favorites being the characters. And I figured we could take the boat over to MGM after and neither of us has ever seen this hotel so I figured that was a plus also. I am not, however, impressed with the food options for $18.99.
Today I started poking around at menus again and was intrigued by the offerings at the 1900 Park Fare character breakfast. And Mary Poppins is a favorite. And neither of us has ever been to the Grand Floridian. When we went as a family, they had just broke ground on it. How easy is it to get to MGM from the GF though?
What do you think? Should I stick with my CMC ADR? Is it a good buffet? Or should I attempt a change to 1900 PF instead? We're just 2 "old ladies" with no kids on this trip.
THANKS!
