Help- 12 days to plan sister's trip

This trip is for my sister, her husband, 12 yr old daughter and daughters friend. None of them have ever been to WDW. I've been 6 times and planned the last four online without any travel agency. Well, my sister was talking about going this year for the first time, and if they did, would I help plan. Get this, I get a call tonight and they want to leave Feb 15. I thought I'd have time to plan everything for her. Are they nuts. I said I'd try for plane fares first. We're both in SE Mass. I always fly Southwest out of Providence, so I looked there first. For any discount, you have to book 14 days ahead. I tried Expedia and Travelocity and the prices are outrageous. They're talking a minimum of $750 per person. Is there somewhere else I should be looking or just tell her to wait until April vacation. I haven't even looked at hotels yet!

you can also check on the transportation board - they might have better sources for last minute airline deals

why do they wait till last minute?

You may want to try a travel agent...here in Canada they sometimes have last minute charter availability or an airline consolidator will still have left over seats. As a rule they are usually not any cheaper however in this instance you may get lucky.

I think the problem is twofold.

1.) It is VERY last minute

2.) It is February school vacation week.

BOS to MCO from the 15th to Monday the 23rd is $697.50p/p

But....an alternative, would be BOS to TPA on Jetblue for $466.70p/p

Both of those scenarios are non stop.

It's only about an hour and a half or so drive from Tampa to WDW.

Just somewhere else to look
