I'm in shock that they actually completed dinner service, especially after Ramsey went on a rampage and kicked half the people out of there.

His histrionics can get annoying though.

What was the purpose for having his wife there and making out with her in front of the contestants? It's not like she was there to spy on anything. Did he do it just to freak out the other people?

I think when he kissed his wife in disguise he was trying to prove a point that anyone can win. It seems there are a few executive chef's in the running and he was trying to show that a housewife with no technical cooking experience can win. He said the dish was not pretty to look at but tasted good, so I think he was saying he could work with her (if she was a real contestant) and cultivate her talent, again, if she was a real contestant. Some of the contestants may have been intimidated at the executive chef's.

He usually does something silly like that though. I remember one season he disguised himself as a contestant and walked in with all of them, then he revealed himself. Just a gimmicky thing he does I guess.

What was with all the cooking lessons durning the night and then expecting them to do a good job that night.

The italian guy can go anytime, Ithink he going to get on my nerves....

Fran looks way older than 44. I can't believe she's only 10 years older than me!

I love GR, but I'm getting a little tired of the dramatic music.

Why is there always someone on the show that acts like they have no idea who GR is. HOT chicken wings as a signature dish? With his palatte?

I like this show, but I feel like it has gone downhill. I feel contestants are now chosen by whether they will make good TV or are dramatic enough, not if they are good chefs. It all seems like it's become a bit theatrical now.

But, of course, I'll still watch.

Ya, the bit with his wife ...

I was surprised he actually sent someone home ... I thought maybe he would not eliminate anyone this time where so many of the contestants were frazzled during the dinner service.

AND ITA about the Italian dude, he has to go ...

We just got into Hell's Kitchen recently by watching reruns, and we love it. Can't believe we missed the start of a new season, but we'll be in on it starting next week, I guess!

Wow, this thread really got buried.

So, what is everyone thinking of the season so far? So glad that Siobhan is gone, she was really in over her head. The italian guy, Salvatore, couldn't even cook italian food. Way to make your people proud!!

Ed last night in the hot tub. OMG! That boy can't hold his liquor.

So glad thaat Siobhan (sp?) and Salvatore are gone.

I am continually amazed at the chef's all smoking. Is there one person this season who doesn't smoke?

And when the red team finally won - they got to go to a "diner" and hoola-hoop. The blue team went to a spa and another time went on private jet for wine-tasting. sheesh - the red teams punishment were washing pigs, and the blue team just had to decorate and prep!

I'm not seeing any one these people making a great head chef.
