Hello! I've been on the site a few week and figured that since I'm on standby here at work over the holiday weekend (this translates into bored out of my mind) I'd tell anyone interested a little about myself. My life is a series of epic battles.

First up is my wife. She isn't as into Disney as I am. Her first trip to WDW was a stop for 1/2 day at the MK with her family when she was little and they left early so she wasn't thrilled when I suggested a week trip there. I figured I'd stack the deck against her, and propose to her on the trip in case she really hated the place. She ended up loving it and we bought into the DVC that trip. But once we get home, her eyes kinda glaze over and I can almost hear her brain going 'la-la-la-la-la' when I start to talk to her about something new going on in the world of Disney. She likes going there, she'll go every other year and sometimes every year, but she just doesn't care about talking about a trip 4 months away. She does love Tinkerbell, so I have to walk a fine line between encouraging her love of Tinkerbell, and therefore something very Disney, and ending up with a bedroom decorated like a 12 year old girl's. I think she does things to push my buttons. We have an 11 month old son. Since the day the ultrasound revealed we were having a son, we knew his first haircut would be on Mainstreet, USA. My wife knew this, she understood this and she agreed with this. She continues to tell me that the hair on the back of my son's head is getting pretty long. Why does she keep bringing this up? We have a trip planned in Oct. Give it a rest already. She's just trying to get in my head.

Then there is the Disney Co. It seems like if you don't know the special handshake, magic words or special discount code, some of the CM's, while a whole bunch friendlier, are about as helpful as the people at the DMV. I of course had a trip planned when they changed the PS from 60 days to 90 days. My wife told me to relax while planning that trip, and by the time
I found out about the change, we were 65 days out, and couldn't get any good PSs for my niece and nephew who were joining us down there for their first time in WDW. Yeah, just relax while planning your trip, and Cinderella's Royal Table will call you and ask if you want to join them for breakfast, right? While planning for my latest trip, I was on the phone for 20 minutes before someone knew that you could book LTT on the night of MNSSHP, and she only fessed up after I told her I had MNSSHP tix. Would it be that difficult for her to say "You can only book the LTT if you have tickets to MNSSHP."?

So that brings me to this place...I figure I could talk to people who are as enthusiastic about all things Disney, while getting early tips on when to book certain things for my next trip(s).

Welcome!! Make sure you also check out the DVC boards as well. There is a lot of useful DVC info shared. We go to WDW about 3 times a year, and I thought I knew a lot until I found these boards. I still have so much more to learn. You will love it here.
