Hi! I'm Holly, I'm 21 and new to DIS boards. I'm a dental assistant, but my dream is to become a speed skater (just started last winter ) and travel a lot.
Now that I'm old enough and have a decent job, I've recently gotten into searching and going on vacations. I went on my first destination vacation for my 21st bday back in November. I went on the Disney wonder for 4 nights in Bahamas! Sadly though, I never visited Universal or WDW. I have another Disney cruise booked for next April. It includes WDW and Universal- not making the same mistake again.
I am so excited and this board helps me get more pepped up! It's good to know that I'm not the only one who obsesses almost everyday about their upcoming vacation.
I look forward to frequenting this board quite often, so I just thought I'd introduce myself!
My questions are: What do you think about Magic Kingdom and how many of you think it can be done in one day? What's your favourite park at WDW?

First of all,

Whether you can do MK in one day depends on a few factors: if you are traveling alone or with another adult rather than kids. April can be busy due to Spring Break, so depends when in April. If you familiarize yourself with the layout of the park and the attractions you want to do, you can probably do a good bit of it in a day. I've been many times and still find new things to try!

The thing about Disney is to just enjoy each visit and whatever you don't get to, you can do the next trip. I would suggest that you get yourself a copy of the Unofficial Guide to WDW or The Idiot's Guide to WDW or Passporters. You can get them at the library if you don't want to purchase them. And of course, the DIS is here for you with lots of great information. Good luck and have fun planning!

I bet you can't wait for your next vacation! Me either. I do think Magic Kingdom can be done with a lot of planning. Make sure to make it to rope drop to utilize your time there. You will be surprised with how much you can get done in the early morning hours before the crowds start rushing in My favorite park is Magic Kingdom with a mix of Epcot World Showcase.
