Hi Everyone!
My name is Carla, and I live in Ohio. I have been lurking on the boards for about 6 months now, and finally decided to join. We are planning a WDW trip for June 2010. My husband suprised me with the trip, we haven't been to WDW since 1996 on our honeymoon. This will be our kids first trip, I am anxious and excited planning this trip, any advice will be appreciated. TIA

Welcome to the disboards. My number one piece of advice is to make your dining reservations as soon as you know what you want to do. The ability to get walkins has reduced significantly since your visit 13 years ago.

Welcome!!

You will find so much information on these boards - maybe more than you need. Just browse around and get your questions answered.

This place is addictive!

Welcome to the DIS!! Glad you finally decided to join! There is a ton of information on here to help you plan your trip. My best advice would be to enjoy yourself and know that you can't do and see everything that you want to. I just gives you another excuse to go back! ;) Have fun planning and have a magical trip! :wizard:

Two things that helped us out when we first stared. Stay on property and get your parking covered and then use your rental car or your car (not sure if you are flying) as opposed to the mass transit busses that Disney offers. this will cut off a lot of time that you would normally spend standing at bus stops waiting for the bus and give you extra time at the parks. also consider getting park hopper passes, so you can go to multiple parks in the same day. we'd typically go to MK in the morning and then over to the studios in the afternoon for lunch and then over to EPCOT for the parade at night. You can't do that if you just buy regular tickets. Also, by staying on property, you get to take advantage of the Magic Hours (get in early or stay late on various days)
have a blast!
