Anyone else plan on watching American Idol tonight?

I want to watch it later as soon as my niece has gone home. I have it set to record.

That's what I would usually do. My satellite remote in my room is on the fritz so if I watch it in there I have to watch live which is so hard when trying to do other stuff. I love to fasty-forward the commercials and all that. But nobody is home to hog the big TV today so I get to really watch it!!

The dad and I have a deal. He gets to watch Tosh.0 and I get to watch American Idol.

Yes but probably on delay - I love FF on my DVR.

OMG DH is being a pill! He is seriously driving me nuts today. Probably because the guys on his crew went on call near our house and they came by our house to say hi. DH misses the firehouse so bad. I guess I should be more sympathetic. Sigh.

I love being able to fast forward commercials! We always give our shows a 15 minute head start so we can do just that, lol. I would love to watch AI as soon as it's on, but the niece wonders what happened to her Mickey everytime I turn it off, even though she's not watching it, lol. Kids!

Aw. I can feel for both sides. It's got to be hard for him, and I'm sure it's not easy to put up with on your end too. How's he been doing lately?

I sometimes wont even start watching something until it's over. It depends on what else I've got going on and if I had anotehr show to watch first. I haven't been watching so much TV lately. Just watching The Tudors on DVD and editing photos if I'm not, you know, in SoCal.

Ive been watching a lot lately too. I actually wouldn't mind finding another show to get into now that I am off work. I was thinking of ER since it's got lots of seasons and it's not on tv anymore, so I don't have to go from watching 5 episodes a day to waiting a week for one.

That could be a good one to do. I used to watch the reruns on TNT or USA or something ages ago. Two episodes a day lasted a very long time. I'm not good with suggestions though. I watch a limited amount of shows, especially ones that ran a few seasons. Supernatural, Charmed ... those are/were my things.

I've never gotten into either of those two, although I have seen quite a bit of Charmed. Smallville is my favourite of those types of shows. I also really like One Tree Hill. I really recommend that one if you haven't seen it. I would lend you my seasons if it was easier to get them to you, lol.

I have seen a few episodes of ER here and there, and liked it when I saw it, but I could never keep up. I can't think of anything else at the moment that I could get into.

I actually have watched OTH. Stopped watching after they did the whole 5 years fast-forward thing though. I just couldn't get into it anymore. My sister was hooked on it so I started watching her DVD's. I did the same thing with The OC. It was more just because they were 'there', lol.

Yeah, it was hard to get back into OTH after the fast forward. It's still an ok show, but it's not the same without Lucas and Peyton.

I was into OC too, but the last two seasons weren't very good I didn't think.

I've got all ten seasons of Friends I could probably watch, but I've probably already seen every episode at least 5 times. I need something like OTH that has the drama to keep me entertained, lol. I don't want to get into Soaps! lol

Haha, no, don't get into Soaps! I got into one and thanfully it wasn't on for long. It was driving me insane.

Friends could be good, but if you've seen it so often I could understand. I've seen certain shows so many times I can quote the dialogue right along with the actors. But it's alright, I watch it because I love it.

Yep. I refused to watch it for the longest time, just cause it didn't seem like my thing. Then when the movie came out, a friend begged me to see it, and so I broke down and saw it. I actually really liked the movie. After that I watched the series. I liked it better than I thought although it's not something I will watch over and over. I now own both of the movies, lol.

I think there are a few Friends episodes that I can quote word for word. As well as Full House. That was my favourite show when I was younger.

I never thought I would get in to S&TC but I enjoyed what I saw of it, and the first movie. Maybe I'll add those back to my Netflix and wctually watch all of it rather than just the first half of the first season.

Desperate Housewives is actually really good too. I made it until last years season, then fell behind. Been meaning to catch up on it. I will keep that in mind too!

I think I'm going to go add that to my Netflix again right now. I'd like to watch it all the way through. Everyone I know says I'm most like Charlotte, and I can't say that I disagree, lol.

I watched that the first 2 or 3 I think, of DH. Once again, I kind of fell out with it. Some shows just aren't the same a few seasons in. It was the same with Grey's Anatomy for me. But that was also partly the same reason why I can't watch too much ER -- the medical stuff makes me antsy. What I saw of House was very good.

House is very good. We are a little behind on that one too. Grey's did get a little boring there for a while, but they've picked it up this last season I am finding.

I know what you mean about shows changing. Smallville had it's moments where I almost stopped watching it. It seems like every show has it's time where it goes to crap for a bit. It's too bad Heroes never found it's way back again, cause it had a lot of potential!
