Hey everyone, My name is Heather and I am taking hubby to Disney world next month for Christmas/belated honeymoon. I am so lost and overwhelmed trying to figure all this out. Is there a reeeealy stupid question section, cuz I feel like I have a ton of them.:dance3: Yeah I even went out and bought a birnbaum guide to disney but there is some stuff it does not talk about. Any and all info will be gobbled up by me and much appreciated :worship:. and directions to the stupid answers section will be cherished forever!! Thanks in advance to all!!

:lmao: Hmmmm. I may need to ask the Webmasters if we can add a really stupid questions forum!

I would suggest that you keep a list of all your questions as you think of them. Then do some reading around the different Trip Planning Forums, sometimes the answers show up. Then do a Search to see if there may be a current answer to what you want to know. If you still can't find the answer then just ask! The only stupid question is the unasked question. We ask that you try to ask your questions on the appropriate forums. Restaurant questions on the Disney Dining Board, Park questions on the Theme Parks board, Resort questions on the Resort board etc... And if you really aren't sure go ahead and ask here and we can try to help or I will move it to the best forum for it.

Also, I would suggest "The Unofficial Guide to WDW" www.touringplans.com . over the Birnbaum book. Check out your library, they probably have it--even if it is a year or two old it will still have great general advice.

:welcome: to the DIS!!

Hi Heather and Welcome.

Don't worry about asking silly questions. We all started somewhere and ask what may be silly or redundant questions to some, but not to others. Ask away, that's how you will figure it out.....along with lots of reading on the boards. Everyone here is very helpful and nice and the boards carry so much information. You will have a great time.

Enjoy your trip next month. Would love to be there at Christmas. :santa:

Welcome Heather!! Here are a few things that I would definitely try to do when you are there, they are only offered during this period of time:

1) Osborne lights in Hollywood Studios (this is a must for our family)
2) Candlelight Processional at Epcot
3) Special ending to Illuminations at Epcot
4) Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (if you want to pay extra)
5) Check out the creative holiday decorations at the resorts (especially the deluxe resorts)

Hello and have fun planning and going. This is a great group. Ask away. I set
up a file just for travel tips. There are so many small hints that I never thought
about. We love to help.

Hi Heather and welcome! You guys will have a BLAST at Disney!

I really like the Birnbaum guide as a "feel good" intro to all that WDW has to offer. You get a nice feel for the magic that awaits you! As another poster mentioned, the Unofficial Guide is another good one. It offers a bit of a different perspective (good and bad....after all even WDW isn't "perfect!").

Another web site I like for lots of nitty-gritty detail is allearsnet.com . You can even see the restaurant menus there! Lots of great photos of the resorts, etc..

Take it slow and remember you will NEVER see or do it all in one trip! Relax and HAVE FUN!:goodvibes
