Hello to all from BCV's on this first 50th anniversary weekend!

Greetings from the Beach Club Villas! We arrived today and although our room wasn’t ready until 4:00, we have a lovely NS 1 BR right on the edge of the pool, and with a swim crazy 3 year old this is very convenient! Our check in couldn’t have been more pleasant – the CM was VERY nice and helpful and we got several sincere “Welcome Home’s”

It doesn’t seem busy here – we were expecting the airport, DTD, the resort, etc to be packed with this being the first weekend of the 50th, but there is actually lots of breathing room – empty seats on the plane from Minneapolis, BCV seems very not packed and DTD on a Saturday was very doable – not at all what we’re used to. Haven’t done the parks yet – we shall see!

There are new room keys – blue with the castle and the 50th logo. Several CM’s have commented on them, ours being the first they’ve seen, so they must be very new.

No more Kryssa – there is a new girl on the TV and although I swear it’s the same script, they have added a few of the new attractions to the Top 7. Perky. Annoying. Kryssa with long black hair.

Tomorrow is the Mother’s Day brunch at Epcot (Happy Mother’s Day to all you DVC Moms!!) and Hoop Dee Do and MK at night, so we’ll see how busy the parks are. I promise – this is not a live trip report, just a hello to all of you from “home” and hoping many of you get to experience the 50th this year – so far it’s been really great!

OK, where was your lime green ribbon? We also checked in to BCV on May 7th. If you're still there, go down to the store and have a coconut bar for me. Or if I didn't leave any, I think there's some pistachio gelato left. That store expansion is the best!
