Hello Thursday

I :lovestruc the Toy Story cart! My ds favorite character is Buzz Lightyear. I always ask him why and he says "he flies in outer space". Plus we are in the process of turning his room into a Outer Space/Buzz Lightyear theme.

The link for the Toy Story cart no longer works. Someone did post an image over on the cricut board. I really hope this is true ... I'm not holding my breath tho ... if it does come out it will take forever to hit the stores. Heck ... I still haven't seen the Batman or Superman in the M's or ACM near me. Hello Thursday doesn't excite me like it first did. I don't like having to wait forever for these carts.

I think I'll be able to resist the Toy Story one. I think Buzz will be hard because of all the colors on his wings, etc. Not to mention Slinky-dog's inner spring!

DIT - Just remember, I did your Mr Potato Head paper piecing BEFORE the Toy Story cart came out! ;)

I don't like that mixed up sneak peek either. Figures they'd come out with a cat cartridge just when I'm about to finish my kitty's album.

Nee I saw that mr potato head on the other thread and thought he was awesome!!! And said to myself she did that with no cart!!
You rock!!

NEE, your Mr. Potato Head was awesome and I love having him on my page that you made!!! I wish I could do things like that, but I'm just not that talented (or patient). I need the Cricut!!!:goodvibes

Do you have a picture of your Mr. Potato Head that you could share here? I'd love to see him.
I best I could do on my own was a Disney bus.

Here is NEE's Mr. Potato Head on the page she made for me in a swap. Isn't he great?:lovestruc

Thanks, ladies! I was pretty happy with him!

He was my first (successful) paper piecing done using a coloring page via SCAL and Inkscape. If anyone has SCAL version 2, I'm happy to share the file. PM me your email address.

After vacation, I'll see if I can whip up a few extras to go to some worthy homes.

Hi, NEE - I'll be PMing you - love your 'tater! (No rush - getting the files before or after your vacation is just fine...)

I was going to try the same SCAL/Inkscape steps yesterday - to do a Stitch. But, I got reading instead, so I'll try this another day. I've got photos kitted up showing a radiant DS being smothered in hugs by Stitch in front of the Carousel of Progress from our 2007 trip. They are wonderful - so I'd love to do a paper piecing for that layout. Now, just to find the time!

Pam my friend Rhonda made awesome stitch's one time. I mean they were soooo nice. You should ask her if she still has one. She might!;)

Hmmmm...did she now? I'll have to chase her down to find out! (Actually, I have a call into her - had a long talk with Rannnnnnnnnn on Friday - but the Queen was sleeping!) :rotfl:

Thanks
:stitch2:

Pam - if you don't want to go messing with the coloring pages and the extra steps there are some easier Stitches out there:

Mardenz has 2 on her blog - http://mardenz.blogspot.com/2009/05/stitch.html those are already broken apart. She has SOOOO much awesome stuff - definitely check out her whole site.

Also, have you (or Danica) used http://www.vector-cartoons.com/? You have to register there and you can have up to 3 free downloads per week. If you choose the right type of file, they will also be already broken apart when you open them. For a PC, it's WMF files. On a Mac, I did the EPS file, which required one extra step (that I can't remember at this moment but it wasn't hard.) (They spell it wrong there - Stich in case you search and can't find him.)

I have a few bookmarked that I just haven't gotten around to cutting yet - I do have a few Lilo and Stitch layouts to do.

Thanks, NEE! (You are the best!) :worship:

Off to work this a.m. - sorry I'll miss you today. But I'll check these links out and let you know how I make out. I can always practice my technique with another character later. Why re-invent the wheel?

Merci beaucoup!!!

I need scal so I can have a potato head too. First a need a laptop then scal then Jennifer to give classes on how to use it....
Boy I've got a list going now!!!
