Anyone else think the carts on the Hello Thursday are ridiculous? 4 carts if you buy a new expression, a few carts if you buy an imagine, a couple of lites-not cost effective, and then a whole slew of carts with images that most of us have already...woo-hoo PC, really breaking the creativity barriers there! :sad2: You would think fllowing the uproar from the the lawsuit with SCAL and MTC they would try to get their customers loyality back, not just go after the purse again!

Glad I just purchased SCAL! :thumbsup2

Wow!! No way!!

When did you purchase SCAL? Ive had it for years but I went on the site to get the installer back DBF is going to re-format my comp and I didnt buy the disk, and now its saying Cricut isn't compatible. such a shame.

That stinks - I will be looking for a new machine now (gotta save up the money for it)

Well I've got too much invested in my Cricuts to move on to another machine but geez! What up with all these carts only being available from cricut.com?

I have had it for a little while. That really stinks, I wonder if there is a way around that...

I have no idea. I dont know if they can just block a specific machine. I havent re-downloaded it or anything. was thinking about doing some research but that took too much energy :)

I read somewhere that you can still get SCAL that will work for Cricut, but not for much longer. I've had mine for about two years. I also have Design Studio. I won't be taking any chances and updating my firmware as I believe there will be something there to stop you from using your Cricut with SCAL. I just won't be buying any more cartridges so won't need to update. Bit of a shame really, but I like the freedom to design my own stuff more than I like the cartridges.

I would try the demo again. If it goes through okay then order the bundle with the CD. You will not be able to update the firmware of your machine, but it is what it is. At least you can use SCAL. I was planning on just using SCAL with my baby bug so that I could still update the firmware on my E, but that lasted about a week...basically until I saw a full size Jedi Mickey cut, then I could not resist. :rotfl:

Someone asked why all the Cricut.com exclusives...that one is easy, they rarely put them on sale. They make more money by only offering them through their site. That would be my guess.

If you have bought SCAL already, and it isn't running propertly, contact Cutting Edge's owners and they will get you running again. they can lookup your registration number if you no longer have it.

If you want to purchase SCAL2 to work with your Cricut, you need to do it NOW! I think by May 28th! Go to svgcuts.com, they do not have the CD's anymore, but you can download the SCAL2 software and make your own back up, if you wish.
