Hello! Some help needed with first trip

Hi everyone. Myself, DH, DS, SIL and FIL are planning a 3 week trip to Florida from 23 April to 14th May 09. I've just looked at the US holidays for next year and Easter is later than usual, its the 12th April. Does this mean there will still be US spring breaks on when we go and if so will it affect the crowd levels much?

It's frustrating as the prices for this time aren't released till next month so I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs till then, reading this board every day.

Also, myself and DH quite fancy going late jan/early feb but FIL said he wouldn't want to go at this time. Does anyone here have experience of what the weathers like then? Am I right in thinking its less crowded then, and obviously the weather wouldn't be as hot - our sonw ill be 4 when we go and I don't want it too hot for him. I've had a quick look on the internet and prices seem cheaper then, I thought mayeb this would sway FIL!!!

Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks!

We've been at WDW twice at that time, mainly to coincide with the Superbowl, which is the first weekend in February.

It's a great time of year to travel, as the flights are fairly cheap, the parks are not so crowded, and the weather is like a warm summer's day back home. Evenings can get a bit chilly.

But we love April/May as well!

Prices at holiday times such as Easter and summer are always more expensive as that's the natural time for many of us with children to go.

The weather late January and early February is very difficult to predict, 'on average' it is probably sunny but not that humid or hot. I would expect not too much rainfall.
You will probably find it is on the cool side, especially in the morning's and evening's and that you would need a combination of clothes for different weather types.

Don't worry about crowds for Superbowl.

Mainly the Boardwalk is packed to watch the game on huge televisions. It's a great atmosphere mixing with the locals. My wife isn't so keen though
