Hi Guys:)

Im not sure how many people are around to say hello to at present but just thought I would pop on and let you know that I am still about albeit quite (actually a lot) infrequently lately mainly due to have a lot of work done on my house and looking after my poorly mother.:goodvibes

I know Corrina and a few of you have tried to keep the board going in my absence and for that I thank you all very much.:goodvibes:hug:

Hopefully I shall try and pop in and on a little more and it would be great to get the board active again.

Hope everyone is doing well and look forward to catching up with you all soon, let us know what your up to, any holiday plans? Anybody have any exciting news? :)

Nice to see a familiar face :)

Sorry all is not well with your mum - I thought kids were a worry but am just beginning to realise that parents are too.

DH and I are planning our first child free trip to WDW this autumn - which brings with it a huge mixture of excitement and guilt, but they are 20 and 23 now so I shouldn't feel too bad.

Hi Libby, Yes I agree, I seem to have gone from worrying too much about my daughter to worrying much more about my parents. :)

How exciting about your trip,:dance3: I understand how you must feel but your right they are adults now and it will nice to do what you and your DH want to do at your own pace. You will have a brilliant time Im sure.

Where are you staying? :thumbsup2

I quite often used to think about doing a solo trip now as my daughter lives in London and Im still here in Wales, but with mum's health so up and down, Im always too scared to venture too far from home, but I would love to get back there one day. I cant quite believe its 8 years this year since I last went:rolleyes:

So sorry to hear your mum's still poorly, Sue

I'm stuck in the house at the moment - literally! Having the front garden paved over and there's a massive chasm just outside the front door so have been attempting to write up a bit more of last  year's trip report!

Don't feel guilty Libby! We're going back to Alaska and Disneyland next year but on our own this time and although I originally felt a bit guilty when we booked I don't any more, not since the girls started planning their own trips away for this year.

Sorry to hear about your mum, Sue

Hope to return to DLP in November and possibly WDW in the next couple of years

Hey, Elaine well if you can't get out, put your feet up, cup of coffee and relax. Your holiday plans sound fantastic :-)

Hi Nikki

Hope your well, plans sound great,I think I might try and get a DLP trip in, it would go some way to easing my Disney pain:rotfl:

Hi Sue, I was just thinking about you yesterday after I passed a Peacocks and was wondering how you were and what you were up to. Sorry to hear about your Mum, hope she improves soon. I'm on the last month of my maternity leave, and starting to plan Freyas first trip to WDW next year, when we return it'll be 5 years since we were last in Orlando so loads of new things for us to see and a whole new experience with a toddler.

Im good thank you, still at Peacocks, 35 years this year! I also manage Jane Norman as well now as that is also owned by our new owners EWM, so very busy at the moment. Good luck going back to work hon:hug:

One day my mum is sound as a pound, the next down hill again. She is booked in for a full body CT sept 8th and I dread waiting for the results:sad2:

Hey Florida Sun!

Sorry to hear about your mum, I'm pleased to see you back here. It's been generally quiet on the boards, although I've been missing for a while myself!

Things haven't all been happy here, I lost my beautiful pony after a 10 month fight to find out what was wrong with him. In the end I had to do the right thing and put him out of his pain. It hurt like hell to have to say goodbye to such a young horse who had such a great future ahead of him.
On the plus side though, I have been offered his year old half brother who will be coming over from France in a couple of months. It will be like having a little bit of Arthur still with me.

Another plus for me is giving up work in 5 weeks time to spend more time with the horses. I just hope I can still afford Disney trips!
