Hello everyone! My mom and I are going to be taking my twin nieces, who will be 6, to DL next summer we are planning on going beginning to mid July. It will be my 5th time and my moms 10+ time. We really want to stay at the DLH or even the PPH but the prices right now at DLH are about $450 a night. I live in WA state so I don't get an AP discount, I have a costco card. I was wondering if the prices would go down at all or if Disney will have any summer promotions or if $450 a night is the normal summer rate for DLH?

They don't ever have specials out this far in advance. The past few summers they have had promotions that come out just a few months ahead of time. I'd be very surprised if there was no promotion whatsoever for July - but what it is will depend on occupancy. (Last year, it was 5 nights for the price of 3, which was amazing - this year was not as good a deal.) You can also look up prices, then save your offer - sometimes they will send you a PIN for discounts around your dates. (Though again, this might not happen until the dates are closer.)

ETA: You can still get an AP if you live out of state! Sometimes, if you are going for enough days, or more than once in a year, you can save enough money on the hotel with an AP to make the AP worthwhile . . . I was considering it for this trip but it turned out that the summer special rates were less than the AP rates!

While $450 seems awefully high, it may or may not be. Booking at great distance can yield high rates so it may be too far out to give a deal based on demand. But with Carsland opening and the general DCA retheme being complete, next summer may have rates muhc higher than this summer.
