Hello, Hello, Hello!

I am always iffy about starting new series. I always worry I won't like them as much as others I am into. I am glad I got into the Night Huntress ones though. I just wish there were more. I need a series that has a lot of books!

My favourite series as a kid/teenager were the Sweet Valley ones. I read those right from when I was about 7, up until about 18 or so. And I heard that they are starting to write new ones again for an adult crowd. That excites me.

I loved the Sweet Valley High books. I read all of them. About the twin sisters. I had forgotten them until just now.

Andrea, have you read the Shopaholic books before? I can't remember. If not, I hope you enjoy them. I adore them. Rebecca Bloomwood is a character!

I can't say I ever read SVH. A series I loved when I was younger was The Saddle Club, lol.

I've read the Shopaholics, but I can't remember what books I need to catch up on. I have read the first 3 for sure, plus a couple other books of Sophie's.

I also read the Saddle Club. I loved them.

I basically grew up with them. They had a Kids series for elementary ages, then they had the Twin series for junior high/middle school ages, then High and then even University. I loved them.

The only Shopaholic book I have yet to read is Mini Shopaholic. I just started re-reading Shopaholic & a Baby today before I fell back asleep for most of the day. The new one comes out in paperback in early April I think. I can't wait to get it. I want to read more about Becky! I love her logic.

Her logic is hilarious. I remember laughing out loud during the first one, when it would show her excuses on the letters from billing companies. I love the high spirited writing in those books. Funny and heart warming, but sometimes you just want to wring her neck! Lol.

Yes, sometimes you d. But sometimes you feel so sorry for her. They really are great books. These are the ones there are sof ar: do you know which one's you've read?

Confessions of a Shopaholic
Shopaholic Takes Manhattan
Shopaholic Ties the Knot
Shopaholic & a Sister
Shopaholic & Baby
Mini Shopaholic

Now that I see the list, I think I've read them all except the Mini one. I am not sure about the sister one though. I don't remember anything significant in it.

In the sister book she and Luke were finishing their Honeymoon and then Becky meets Jessica (Jess) her half-sister on her father's side. Ring any bells? And of course Shopaholic & Baby is when she's pregnant.

Half sister rings a bell now, yes. And I remember the baby one. The part that sticks out the most is when they are picking out strollers, or Prams in their words, lol.

Haha, yes that was funny. Sometimes I think &Baby was my favorite. But I think that mostly had to do with the Venetia Carter drama, lol. I got a kick out of that and I felt so horrible for Becky all the while. Actually that comes up a lot. I always feel bad when nobody believes her about stuff although I can see why. She has a total flair for the dramatic.

She really does.

Have you read Can You Keep A Secret and the Domestic Goddess? Both of those are really good too.

And did you ever see the Shopaholic movie? I thought it was ok, but it didn't really leave off with the same feelings as the book.

You know, I haven't read her other books yet. I'd really like to though. Maybe I'll pick one up as well, depending on how much I have left on my giftcard. I'm trying to cut back the spending (and sometimes I feel like Becky ... but at least I don't spend thousands on clothes!). Another plus for a possible new job that pays better.

As for the Shopaholic movie, I have chosen to completely segregate it from the books. Completely! It makes me enjoy it more and besides, Hugh Dancy as Luke made me happy. I wish they could make one that actually folowed the book. But I am perfectly content with what I picture in my head!

I know what you mean. It was a good movie, if you tried not to relate it to the books. And Hugh Dancy was a good choice!

And I remember enjoying Can You Keep A Secret, but it's been so long since I've read it, that I don't remember much about it. I do remember Domestic Goddess though, and it was really good. It has the same light hearted writing as the Shopaholics. And the situations the character gets into are pretty funny.

Hi there!!

I have returned. Normally I would sit in the van or go to the local bookstore and read, but the kids didn't bring the camera and if Kacy got a chance to get a picture with Aaron Gillespie they wanted to use the camera on my phone because it has the flash.

I am so glad that I attended the concert. It was amazing.

This is Aaron's van and trailer. They aren't very fancy.

It's always cool when you get to meet the band. Glad you had a good time.

We got to meet Seether once, and they were really nice, and funny too. They did a small private acoustic set for the first 100 people who showed up, and we managed to make it on time. It was really cool to see them so up close and personal.

It was a worship concert and I was so deeply moved by it. I cried. I feel so silly.

I cried at a concert once. Last New Years we saw Shinedown perform for the first time. I was so taken aback by his voice, that I had tears in my eyes. They did the song Second Chance which was really overplayed at the time, and I wasn't a huge fan of it, but that was the one that got me when seeing him sing it. He has just an amazing voice. They have been near the top of my list of favourites since.

BTW Michele, when you get the chance I have something I want to ask you about on Skype. If not I'll send you a message here or on FB.
