Don't get me started complaining about groceries and utilities.:sad2:

Everything is so exspensive. And we aren't making anymore money, how is that supposed to work?:confused3

I know and it comes to the point that I have to change how I grocery shop and what we get. And our utilities, wow don't even get me started. The heating costs just went sky high.

We are renting a 3 bedroom townhouse in a decent neighbourhood for $1200. Which is about average. Is that a lot less than what rent is there?

I always wondered what the costs to live in California were compared to what we have here. Also I guess that would depend on what wages are like too. Dillon and I often fantasize about moving down there just for a year so we can get an annual pass, lol. It used to be just me that dreamed of that, but I think I turned Dillon into a Disney fan too.

But it's so hard getting a visa to work there and all that. So it is probably out of reach for us.

Andrea, when we drove our motorhome through Canada last summer we were pleasantly suprised that gas was not as bad as what we had planned for. We budgeted $5000 for gas the whole trip. We were expecting most of it to go toward gas in Canada. We knew $5000 was on the high side, but it is better to over estimate than under estimate. And our gas only ended up a little $3000. So we brought money home, which was nice.

For an apartment here I know is about $1200 here or it was last time I looked.

Ladies, I have a horrible headache. So I am going to log off for now and go to bed.

I don't even want to know what rent is in California where I'm at (and definitely not in SoCal )

No, we pay utilities on top of that. We pay about $120 for gas (it's winter so it's high right now). $70-$80 for electricity, and $80 for water every month.

I guess we are not far off from you guys up here.

We rent my Mom's duplex for $1500 a month and the renters pay all utilities.
It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom and double car garage.

Usually renters pay utilities here, but if they are included, then the rent is usually higher to cover them.

We have a 3 bedroom, one and a half bath, with no garage. So it sounds not too far off. Maybe a little more for you guys.

I can't imagine what it's like to live in So Cal. It's probably really expensive cause it's a really popular area. Maybe we could get a house and get a few people to live together to help with costs, lol.

I'm in class so I'm in an out. We're working in groups to create curriculum based on what kids ask. My group is doing spiders :rotfl: WHich we all hate!
