Hello...I am new to the board and new to the site. I found it while googling this morning.

My friends and I are planning a trip to Disney in November (we have to wait for August to actually book the trip). All of us have been to Disney before, but two of us have never stayed on property (myself being one of them). I am excited to stay on property, but we haven't decided which resort we are going to stay at.

Can't wait to start chatting with everyone and getting some great tips of things I didn't know!!

It only cost $200.00 to book a Walt Disney World Package and that deposit is totally refundable up to 45 days from your arrival date, so if possible, I would go ahead and book and not wait until August - unless you are talking about going November 2012, then yes, you have to wait until August.

Also, if you are going this November, even you haven't made your resort/package reservations, you can make your Advance Dining Reservations 180 days in advance and I highly recommend this if there are certain sit down/table service/character meals you want to eat. I wouldn't wait until August to make ADRs, because you seating choices will be very limited by then.
