We arrived on Thursday afternoon, great flight and only 7 hours long :) It's our last night in New York tonight and we've had an awesome time here, wish we could stay longer but very excited to explore Boston and New England, we drive there tomorrow :goodvibes Here are some pictures my bf has taken so far (all with a Nikon D90)

Is NY the best city in the world? I love London but NYC just wins for me.
Our pics were taken on film, hadn't gone digi back then will have to get them out and look sometime. We want to go back but hotel prices put me off everytime I look.
Looking forward to seeing more pics of your trip, Hope you post some.:goodvibes

This is where I want to visit.

Really fab photos ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: Reminds me how much I miss NYC as we haven't been since the Millenium!!! Look forward to seeing more... :goodvibes

Wow - great photos, brought back some wonderful memories of our trip to NY in April. Ands now you're off to my fave US city - Boston - and beautiful New England.

Lucky, lucky you:cloud9: What a fab trip:cool1:

Great pictures, hope you're having a great holiday.
We love NYC almost as much as WDW. I proposed to my DW in NYC, along the Brooklyn Promenade looking across the river towards the Manhattan skyline and we both decided immediately that the Wedding Pavilion @ WDW would be the venue for the Wedding.

I can't believe thats 5 years ago now. We probably won't be back in NYC for a little while, due to having our 2 year old DD, so we are making the most of being able to enjoy lots of trips to Disney instead.

Oh i love your photos
i love NY!!
We are goin there next year for 3 days before we go onto Tampa what hotel did you stay in? Am totally struggling trying to find one for the 5 of us any help from anyone would be fab!! My DH and 3 DS are all very excited as they have never been!!

Sarah xx

Thanks for all the lovely comments, I will relay the photo compliments to the bf when he wakes up, he's been practising and reading up on photography loads in the run up to this trip :goodvibes It's 7am here in Boston (i'm in the bathroom typing in the dark so as not to wake my bf up with the light or extractor fan!) and it was a very easy drive yesterday from New York to Providence to here, 4 hours total and 4 states... Much less stressful than an equivalent UK journey i'm sure! Yummy Cheesecake Factory dinner on the way too :) I will post photos from Boston/New England in about a week, and my full trip report will have many more from all the places we've visited ;)
Wayne, yes we loved NYC... Somewhere we will definitely return to in the future :) Anyone else considering it definitely go, there's something for everyone and it needn't be expensive once your hotel is sorted, we spent much less than we thought we would and ate at some fab places :)
saz331, We stayed at the Hampton Inn Madison Square Garden which I believe can sleep 5 (2 doubles and they provide rollaway type beds for an extra charge, they also do king rooms like we had) It wasn't cheap compared to what we would normally pay for hotel rooms but we felt it was great value: Included breakfast which was so good we never ate anywhere else like we had planned to, tea and coffee in the lobby 24 hours a day and the rooms were small but comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend it :goodvibes

Fab photos. I'm going back there next year & can't wait:goodvibes
