Hello.. From NY state not city..

Hello, I am 25 and am new to this board but am a disney lover. Going on my 1st cruise is January. Didn't get to go to the world till I was 22 but dreamed of it all my life and cried when I walked into magic kingdom. Now I am a pro at planning trips with my family to the world. I feel bummed that I don't get to go to the world in 2014 and will have to wait till 2015 as the cruise is my only vacation time.. I am worried I won't feel the magic!! Even though I am sailing on the MaGIc lol.

I've used that line so many times. "Oh I'm from NY state, not city." Amazing how so many people only think of NYC when you tell the NY State. I spent many years living outside Plattsburgh, Catskill, Middletown NY.



Don't worry about not getting your dose of Magic in 2014. If you stay connected on the DID board, I promise that there are many, many people who have been touched by the magic dust on their visit and they are more then happy to pass the Pixie Dust on to you through their posts.

I was born on Long Island but moved "upstate" to Rifton, south of Kingston. Then I moved "upstate" to Saugerties, north of Kingston. Then I moved "upstate" to Utica for college. Then I moved "upstate" to Rochester.

I am running out of upstate! Maybe I need to think aboot talking like this, eh.

I am always asked by people I meet who are not from around here if I get in to "the city" often. Do they mean Toronto or Pittsburgh?
