Wow, it IS a small world! My first teaching job was at Northumberland High School. I lived in Tappahannock and drove over the most amazing bridge twice each day going to work. Love that Northern Neck!

Yes it is a small world. Did you like living down here? We love it but then my mom's family is from the whole area: Westmoreland, Northumberland, Richmond and Essex counties. I have relatives all over the state of Virginia.

Hmm, how to say this nicely? I wasn't exactly "welcomed" at Northumberland seeing as I didn't grow up there. If it weren't for a very nice French teacher, I don't think anyone would have spoken to me! I learned that I really am a child of the suburbs, and as much as I love the country (I went to Fauquier County next), I probably should just stay in suburbia. I loved all the water though, and that bridge going into Tappahannock was amazing!
Hi, y'all! Not exactly NOVA....more like the "top" of Virginia here (Winchester) where we are preparing to celebrate the Apple Blossom Festival... but lots of trips in to Fair Oaks, Dulles Town Center, and Tysons Corner (love those malls! ) and been stuck in the beltway traffic plenty of times!
