Just returned for Disney and had a wonderful time! For those of you who did not see my posts of last week. I had car trouble 3 days before we were to leave and was not sure about taking the trip due to finances for our car. Family members let us borrow their van to continue with our trip, and I am so glad we went. Thanks to everyone for their prayers and good wishes. There is nothing like the magic of Disney to get you chillin'. We did Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and MGM as well as Downtown Disney. We even saw the Braves play the Yankees at Disney's Wide World of Sports. We had one day of rain, so we did outlet shopping that day. We had one night that could have been a budget buster, but luckily turned out okay. Our friends from home who were going on a much bigger budget asked us to meet them for Dinner at Downtown Disney. They said they would buy dinner if we would buy dessert. We agreed and boy am I glad because they chose Wolfgang Puck's which is expensive and the food was not what my kids were used to. The dessert we bought, was just about what we would have spent for dinner. Here are just a few of my budget tips. (We took $2400 and came home with $900. $800 of that was tickets and we also took gas $ out of that as well as the clothes we bought outlet shopping!) Hotdogs at Pecos Bill - plenty big for 2 people. DD and I shared. We took in our own water bottles. Took empty and filled at fountains to keep bag lighter. Also took own snacks. Did by ice cream at Epcot for a treat. One night after eating at Casey's Corner in Magic Kingdom we ate decadent dessert at the bakery which made us feel like we had splurged on a fancy meal, but it cost much less than the sit down restaurants. T-shirts are much cheaper at discount stores in Orlando than at the parks. I steered kids toward souveniers that they would get use out of at home. I will post more tips as I remember them. Need to go rest now from long drive. Thanks again for the good thoughts.

I AM SO GLAD YOU HAD A GREAT TRIP!!!!!!!DISNEYKID
