I've begun planning our family's Disney trip, thanks to my Mom! :woohoo: I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and was recommended to visit this board. What a wealth of information! I'm still feeling overwhelmed, but at least I've got some guidelines!

The only time I've been to Disney was with my high school band in 1991. The trip was planned for us. We were dropped off, told where to eat, etc. I didn't realize planning on my own would be so complicated!

I'm an expat living and working in Jerusalem and the West Bank. We've been here for almost 4 years and won't return to the US until December. We'll only be "home" for 7 months before coming back here! Disney World is going to be a huge part of our time home! The kids (I've got 4) can't wait!

Thought I'd get my feet wet and post and introduce myself! And thank you all for sharing so much of your Disney experience to help us newbies!:)

Hi Carrie!!!

Welcome! This board is a wealth of knowledge. Ask away, someone always knows the answer.

We are going to WDW in August, but I may have to go back in January just to meet you :)

I bet the kids are super excited. Have fun planning.

Hi Carrie, and welcome!!

This is some of what I've learned since joining the DIS: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1715551

Just FYI: if your youngest will be under 3 when you arrive, you can stay in any of the resorts listed as sleeping 5; kids under 3 can sleep in a pack and play and don't count in the occupancy numbers.

Have fun planning, and ask anything that occurs to you!

Hi Carrie!!

Welcome to the Dis boards from one of your SS sisters.....I thought I recognized you. Hope you have a wonderful time at Disney in January. My DH and I are returning there next June to celebrate our 25th anniversary.

Hello Carrie!!!

I just had to respond and tell you that I had the extreme pleasure of spending a week in Tel Aviv last year including a wonderful day spent in Jeruslem. The company I was working for here in Massachusetts was based in Israel and they flew my group over for a week to do some training. I absolutely LOVED Israel and hope to get back some day!!!

Have a BLAST planning your trip! When will you be at WDW? We will be there 1/17/09-1/25/00.

Welcome Carrie! It is great to have you here with us. You are starting your planning at a good time. August is usually when the new package deals come out and than you can officially book your resort and ADR's. It is nice to meet you!
