If you're wondering why there's suddenly a proliferation of posts from me, its because I'm not home! Time has certainly snuck up on us and we're in Hong Kong for a week. For those who are interested I will be posting on my blog as per usual. We are planning to go to Disneyland on Wednesday and so will definitely blog on that! Although I don't know if I will be going into the great detail that Queenie had. Queenie and PIO, I've got your orders taken down and will do my best to get them.

I've forgotten how much I love the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong! And the food...MMmmmm!!!!

Good for you Shushh! I was wondering if we were coming up to your holiday time when I saw your flurry of posts this morning.

Have a great time...and make sure you fit in that extra Har Gow and Shui Mai for me :thumbsup2. (FYI - I do not expect you to regurgitate either up when you come home :rolleyes1)

Hmm, it will be interesting to see the construction in HKDL.

I hope you are having a lovely time. Looking forward to hearing what you think of Disneyland. I am going to be in so much trouble if I add HKG to the wish list.

Thank you all for your lovely comments! We have had a good time so far despite DH's absence.

Will make a mental note to take photos of any construction and post them! Will have to wait for another 3 days though...

I just realised that I forgot to provide a link to my blog

Looks like you're having a good time in HK. I'm glad to hear Jonah behaved for you on the plane! Keep the updates coming. :thumbsup2

Hellllooooooooooo there. Did you hear me? I yelled it really loud!
I hope you're having an awesome time and doing lots and lots of shopping. I'm looking forward to reading your blog, it's my next stop after posting this. I hope you've written in it already :)

Love the blog. You have such a gift for bringing your family's experiences to life in words and photos. Can't wait to read the next instalment.

It's so lovely reading about Hong Kong through your eyes having been there so recently. :flower3: I stayed right near the Star Ferry in Tsim Sha Tsui (which is the BEST form of transport around for the money!!) and didn't venture far beyond except to Lantau and looking around Central a bit. And of course Stanley Market and The Peak during the whirlwind city tour. [Well...I'm told it was the Peak...but I couldn't see anything due to similarly awful weather to you ;) ]
While I have friends living and working in HK it just didn't work out getting a day with a 'guide'. Oh well.

Looking forward to your next update popcorn::

I wonder what it is about children at a particular age that just "hate" being the show pony for their parents? I was the same when I was younger...and it took until I moved out of home before I looked at my parents with adult eyes.

It is really fascinating to see them as people, rather than 'parents' isn't it?

Just got the kids settled into bed after a great day at HKDL. Exhausted! I am behind in my blog. Still to post yesterday's entry but here are the photos of the construction work as promised.

Queenie, managed to get the rest of your set with 3 boxes. Unfortunately, no more LE giant pins left. Sorry Queenie and PIO!

I think I might just have heard you...amongst all the other people yelling at me loudly in Chinese for my unruly children!

Ah you are too kind! Thank you.

Loving the blog! Waiting for the next installment.....patiently.

I think I am already behind. Doh. Am I in trouble?!?! Will try to catch up...

Next time come with me! I have too many people wanting to take us out and not enough time to go with all of them!

I always used to think "so what?" Your friend's child is probably more accomplished/talented/etc. I am beginning to understand that it is more than merely "showing off" but also a validation of their hard work and sacrifice. I definitely wouldn't be where I am without the risks and efforts that my parents made for me (and our family).
