Hello to everyone who finds this posting!
I'm new to the DIS boards, but I've been lurking for a few months. I've been too shy to post, but today I booked my FIRST EVER Disney World vacation! I'm 29 and this will be my first vacation to somewhere new since I was 13, so this is an EXTREMELY big deal to me! I don't know many people who have been, so I figured I would share my excitement with someone else who understands my excitement, even if that someone else is a bunch of Internet forum users!
I'll be going with my partner from January 25 - February 1st. I understand it is one of the slower times of year. DIS forums and many other resources have helped considerably during the initial planning stages of my trip. My partner suffers from social anxiety, mostly around large INDOOR crowds. Does anyone have any experience with dealing with social anxiety or mild agoraphobia while at Disney World? My partner is excited and willing to fight her phobia to experience something she has also wanted to do since childhood.
I'll be doing a split stay between port Orleans Riverside and Fort Wilderness Lodge. I am so excited!
I know I'm a little late in making ADR, but hope to experience the best of Disney dining while I'm there! I've read many articles on the subject, but can anyone recommend any under appreciated and unique dining establishments?
I'm so happy to finally have a reason to post on the forums! Thanks for letting me introduce myself! Take care!
