Hi to all my Disney friends. I am a newbie to the group and I wanted to give a little background on myself. I am a 52 year old mother of 5 grown kids. My youngest just went off to college and I am empty nesting something awful. Disney is filling the gap somewhat. My middle child is doing the Disney college program so at least it gives me a good reason to go to DW. My first trip to WDW was in early 1972 with my parents and baby sister. I told my mother while we were there that I wanted to work for Disney one day. Well, the closest I got was working at the Disney store 20 years ago but I still want to make that dream come true. I haven't kept up with the number of times that I have been to DW but it is at least 15. I've never been to Disneyland or taken a Disney Cruise unfortunately. My husband hates it and is not supportive at all about it so I'm glad to have you nice people to talk to about my obsession. My next trip is Oct. 11-15 and I will finally be going to MNSSHP.

Welcome! I am also pretty new to this group but I can tell you that there are a lot of interesting people and articals on here. Everyone in this group is a Disney fan so hopefully you will feal right at home.

Welcome fellow empty-nester!! I am fortunate that my husband is on-board with my love of Disney. Since the kids moved out, we've celebrated our 30th anniversary with a trip to Aulani and Disneyland and went on our first DCL cruise this summer to Alaska.
Does your husband enjoy travel? Maybe he would consider a cruise so you can both enjoy a new experience while getting a little dose of Disney?

Unfortunately, he doesn't like to travel or do much of anything. Hopefully, in the next few months, I will do something about my situation. : )
