Morning all, First time forum user so not sure what i'm doing.
I have been to Florida 15 times over the last 25 years but this will be the first time with DW, DD (8) and DS (6) and first time staying on Disney at OKW. Any tips hints would be greatly appreciated.
As a techno freak I was looking forward the the Magicband and Fastpass+, I have set up my disney experience and after several attempts i have managed to link my resort and dining reservations. I am now disheartened as it looks like I wont be getting the magicband  and a sfar as I can find out won't be able to use the fastpass+.
can anybody tell me if this is correct??

Thanks for any assistance and maybe see some of you there soon.

I am also very interested on the bands any suggestions on getting picked for one?

You can't be "picked" or offer to be a test guest.

And the program will not be in operation during your stay.

Disney is periodically testing magic bands at certain resorts during certain weeks, but the public doesn't know where and/or when.

I would suggest trying to find if OKW has removed the old key card door lock system and has replaced them with the RFID readers.

I just got back from AofA and they had the RFID readers and they have been periodically testing magic bands there.

1. There's a testing period going on between September 3 and October 31, which is during the OP's stay.

2. My understanding is that people who are staying at the test resorts (you can find out which ones here) are getting notified by e-mail.

3. All the resorts now have the RFID readers on the door locks, which means that you only have to touch your key card (or Magic Band if you have one) to the door to open it.
