Hello my name is Amy and I usually post on the community boards here. I am 25, married and have 2 DD's. I don't know if this is the right place but I have a problem with gaining weight. I am 99lbs and still dropping. I just had my youngest DD 8.16.05 and I was 97 lbs before I got pregnant with her and right after I had her, I dropped all my weight again, never even looked like I had a kid. My DH tells me I look like a cancer patient. I don't know why, but I never have an appetite so I go all day without eating and not even realize it untill DH askes me when I ate last. I am afraid kinda. I been to several doctor's and they all said itwas normal for me, but I really don't think it is normal. My bones hurt, Im very weak (I got fustrated because I couldn't push a thumb tac into my wall) every support group I look for on the internet for advice, is all about people who want to loose weight, not gain it. I am not Bulimic, I don't throw up my food and Im not anorexic. I been this way for at least 4 years that I can remember. I use to weigh a good 130 lbs which was great for me, but something happened. Any advice would be real helpful and appreciated, thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
Welcome to WISH! Yes, you're right, your problem is more unique than most. I'm going to suggest the same tool that we use when we want to lose weight ... JOURNALLING ! But in your case, I'm going to suggest that you try and plan your day of meals/snacks ... write them down. As you eat, check them off. This will hopefully act as a reminder to eat. Getting a balanced diet of the 4 food groups is essential to your well being. Even if you're not hungry, EAT that piece of fruit, or some cheese and crackers ... your body will thank you for it.
