HELLLOOOOOOO AGAIN!!!

Welp, I'm back to talk some more. Why? Because I want to (its supposed to be a stupid joke).
So, news is that Bush is making some new, like, law or something or...labor law. About the Illegal Aliens and how they get social security and everything. Truthfully, I dont agree. Because a lot of us work hard for our own social security and it says...i think...that they get free social security.
On the other hand...It also says that they get to be protected for three years. DING DONG-Anyone home? By that time, the "Aliens" would have made a home in our U.S. of A. And so after three years, we're going to kick them out? That doesnt make a whole lot of sense.
So my question for you is(i'll have a lot of questions and threads) do you agree with burs and his new Imigration Plan? And do you support bush for the 2004 Presidential Election?

This is your opinion. So answer at your own free will. I'm 1/2 with the Imigration Plan and SUPPORT BUSH!!!!!!!

P.S.: This Is DizDude, I'm just on my moms screenname

I have never really supported some of the things Bush has done. I'm mostly against the war, but everyone has their own opinions. its really upsetting to see that all the young men and women in Iraq are so close in age to my brother, who could just as easily be over there. its a scary thought. However, I am glad that Saddam Hussein has been captured and that the Iraqui's have there freedom.
Another thing that Bush did that angered me, was the lighting of the "National Christmas Tree". Yes he has every right to celebrate whichever holiday he wants...but making a religious event a national event? Whatever happened to the separation of church and state? There are so many different cultures and religions practiced in America and to acknowledge only one is very close-minded.
Anyway I have a question about his Immigration policy. After three years are we literally going to "kick" illegal immigrants out the country? Can you please explain his policy a little bit more in depth, because I didn't really understand it.
I don't know enough about the other candidates to say that I would definitely not support Bush...although sometimes when the other candidates are no better you have to go for the best one. There are a lot of things to consider. Luckily I don't have to vote this election because it's way too complex for me!

Ok. Here It Is.

George Bush made an Imigration Plan. The plan states that Illegal Aliens have the freedom to work, but they can only work jobs that other Americans wouldnt want ( like yardwork:p :p ). And, tax payers might have an increase in taxes to pay for their social security and all that. And they can renew their time period, somehow, from 3 years, to 6, and to 9 etc. But, if their time is up, they are forced to go back to their home country (Mainly Mexico). And those are the huge topics in the plan. All the other stuff is stuff that we dont have to worry about because we arent Illegal Aliens.

Very nice reply MickeyMouse418.

Thank you.

The thing about the immigration policy that really bothers me is that they are only allowed jobs that other Americans don't want. Well what if they are looking to live permanently in America and establish citizenship? Also if they are intelligent people then I think that they should have equal opportunities to earn a living and live a comfortable life. That whole thing reminds me of when many Chinese immigrants came to America in the late 1880's- early 1900's, Americans complained that they were taking "their" jobs.

So they can only work the poor-paying jobs, then after a certain amount of time, they have to go back to their home country? That doesn't sound right to me - immigrants come over here for a better life. And BTW - it wasn't just the Chinese immigrants that Americans were complaining about. It was like that for most immigrants. There were some places were the Irish immigrants weren't allowed to be hired! America is a country of freedom for all who live here, and that freedom shouldn't be limited to people who are born American, IMO.

And, no I probaly won't support Bush in the upcoming election, but that depends on who is running. But then again, I won't be old enough to vote just yet.

I agree withe everything you said. And I knew it wasn't just the Chinese immigrants but it stood out my mind the most.

Freedom definitely should not be limited to those born in America, because most of us would not be in America (and have the privilege of going to Disney World ;) ) if it were not for our relatives who came to America in hopes of finding a better life. So for those who do have the audacity to complain about immigrants taking "their" jobs, they should remember that their relatives were in the same position, struggling to make a living.

That's absolutely correct. Not even the Native Americans would be here if it weren't for the very first humans who crossed the Bering Strait to come over here to look for more food thousands of years ago. If you think about, everything that happened in American history was about freedom and/or a better life. ;)

Exactly! And that is why they should have just as good opportunities as the rest of us!
