My DH asked me if I would be going with him and our boys to see it when it comes out April 2nd.

I told him I never heard of it!

What is it about, anyone know?

I guess I could do a search on it, but I'd rather read it from 50,000 of my closest DIS friends!

It's a movie that looks really really lame. I think ti mught be based on a comic book? I don't know but I don't know how it got to theaters.

It's based on a comic book, but the description sounds like a little bit Men In Black and a little bit X-Men.

I'll be going to see it, but as for this year's comic book-related movies go, I'm most looking forward to Spider-Man 2.

I don't plan to see it (the concept does not interest me). I don't read comics, but I have many friends who collect them and they say the film is rumored to be very true to the comic which inspired it.

Alrighty, let the comic chick step in.

Yes, Hellboy is based on a comic. He looks EXACTLY like Ron Pearlman (the guy who plays him in the movie). Comic people are foaming at the mouth for this movie, as it's extremely true to the books and the makeup/costumes look outstanding.

Trust me, it won't be a lame movie. The movie is based off of Mignola's first book, The Seed of Destruction.

Technically, Hellboy isn't the Devil. Hellboy is a "good guy". He's a paranormal investigator trying to help all "good people".

I'm surprised many of you haven't seen previews for this movie. I must have seen over a dozen previews on tv over the weekend!

I'm a woman who's not much into comic movies. My husband plans on seeing it the day it comes out. I won't be going.

DS has been begging me to take him to see Hellboy and I probably will even though I'm not familiar with the comic. I'm personally curious about the remake of Walking Tall since that was such a big movie when I was a kid. Maybe we'll see both.

I've heard of the comic but I've never read it. The creator, Mike Mignola (who was also character designer for Atlantis), has been heavily involved in the movie, so it should be a pretty faithful adaptation.
