Helicopters at Fantasmic

If it was security for MJ why don't they do it for other celebs?????????

We were also at Fantasmic on the 20th (packed full) and were disturbed by these three red and white helicopters that hovered between Fantasmic and Illuminations. I thought that they were some kind of tourist promotional ride deal. Very disconcerting. The sound engineer cranked up the sound level up significantly when they were overhead, but it was still hard to hear clearly. They did not stay there for the whole show, just a portion of it, but they were very distracting.

I think the helicopters are routine security, we saw them flying around a lot last week. But they also could have been for Mariah Carey. She was there last week, my daughter and I saw her in the rose garden watching the fireworks last night. We also say Scotty Pippin (NBA) earlier in the week at Animal Kingdom, but who knows how much security these 2 ask for. MJ probably would want helicopters

Does anyone think that the celebrities might have been in the helicopters to have preferred viewing of Fantasmic and Illuminations?

It is possible it were the tourist helicopters. There is a company on 192 that has red, white &black helicopters that does fly over Disney. Last April my family did this 20 minute tour. (It is actually quite interesting to see all of Disney from that view).

When we there this past February (during the heightened security level) that same company still had their different copters flying over the parks all day long. So, they must have some sort of permission to fly over Disney's no fly zone. Also, the same time we were their in February (with the media making a huge issue out of no fly zones and security level being raised), the goodyear blimp hoevered overhead for hours the one day. We assumed it was on it's way to the Daytona 500 (same week). However, it wasn't very high up and had to be in the no fly zone.

I do not think helicopter security at night would require 3 choppers and I don't know how much good it would do. I would believe that MJ would however would watch the show from them.
