Ok so bidding on a small item and thought I bid 10.50 and it showed up 1050.00 as maximum bid... what do I do , ends in a few hours!!! any help.

There should be a link for you to cancel your bid, and when you click on it it will ask why. If I recall correctly, there's a box to check for incorrect bid amount or something like that.

HTH!

where , on what page I can not find it...thanks

It should be right next to where it shows you as the highest bidder.

Ok I tried the button next too that info and when I tried to put in another number it said my bid was 1050.00 but on the left of the my ebay page I clicked on questions and went to a page and entered made bid in error. you put in item number and bid and they cancelled it... phew.... this was not a expensive item , I always have someone come in and over bid me with 1 second left...so I was worried Yikes I hope this works and it was cancelled it was an honest mistake and I did email the seller too just in case..was that alright...thanks so much for answering at least it let me know I could do that and to look around for something but believe me I had a hard time finding it... by the way the button next to the you are highest bidder was increase you bid..they must have changed it....thanks again...:goodvibes

It must have been changed. It used to be an increase your bid option and a cancel/retract bid. hmm, I haven't bought on ebay in a while. I sell a lot but haven't bid on an auction style item in a long time.

Glad it worked out!

I know you don't want to pay a thousand but how much would you be willing to pay and is the bidding going up crazily?

If it isn't a crazy hard to find collectible maybe you will luck out and only end up paying a bit more than maybe you would have.

Good Luck, I'm always afraid of doing just what you did!

I'm still trying to figure out what 'heil moron' means, LOL.

It was supposed to be help but I was frantically typing because of the limited time to fix this and my frustration of not being able to find an answer on ebay. which I finally did...

to other person who asked , it was a small used item and only 1 other bidder but I do not know how those things work when someone bids right before auction is over and makes it so you can not bid back. happens to me all the time. NO ONE would bid 1000.00 for this item probably not even 20.00 but who knows!!!! I am not the luckiest person in this world so if there was a rare exception it would be me...they could write me up in the annals of stupid Ebay bids...and I would be famous.:scared1:

There are site that will bid for you at the last second. I use phantom bidder. You can select from 3 to 60 seconds for your bid to be placed prior to the action ending.
