Heights though out both parks

RSR is one I really want DS to be able to ride. He's a Cars fan and can do small coasters no problem. So I really hope he's well about 40" when we go again
My granddaughter loved Racers, BUT one thing I noticed with her, that I didn't notice as an adult.... Going over the 3rd hill, she got a little airborne. I think it was because she didn't touch the floor. She got the "falling cat" syndrome. (Arms and legs fly straight out.) But it resolved itself in 5 seconds, and she loved it.

No. The CM has to go by the measuring stick provided, regardless of the height.

They need to change the website to show 41".

Boo. I was wondering if it was worth bringing a measuring tape with me :)

She's beautiful! thanks for letting me know. I'll hold on to the little one. I know he won't really go anywhere, but I'm paranoid

They really should! When DS made the 40" height, we walked from Soarin' (no problem) to JJ. I'm not kidding when I say he was not even close to hitting the height at JJ. I can understand each measuring stick being a little bit different -- the pavement could be a little uneven, and that would make a difference. But the difference between JJ and the other 40" rides was not just a "rounding error". It is way off!

We are looking to make Indy this time. I hope the measuring stick there is accurate. There are no other 46" rides, so there's nothing to compare it to.

I measured both the one at the entrance and the one by the elevator, and both were 46" exactly.

Everyone I know has complained about Jumping Jellyfish. The manufacturer sets the height, so noting to be done there. But if it is 41", it should be listed that way.

Thanks for the Indy info.

I remember when we were trying to make the 40" rides, the CM at Soarin' was really helpful. He had DS take a deep breath in, and raise his arms up towards the sky. This really seemed to help. DS's head was just barely touching the bottom of the stick, and the reaching up gave him just enough height to really push his head more firmly onto the stick. We might have to try this at Indy as well...it's going to be close, that's for sure! Luckily, DS is old enough now that he understands he might not make it, and there won't be any tears.
