My kids (DD 4, DD 5) are very willing to try new things. It seems a lot of rides have a minimum height requirement of 40. How do you KNOW that a ride is okay for your kids?

I guess you don't ever really know unless they try it because kids are so different. That said, I suggest you tell them exactly what the ride is like and see what they think about going on. If you are not sure what the ride is like, send a grown-up on first to check it out. Most of the "thrill" rides have fast pass to help you do this. Also, I suggest you start slow and work your way up. See if your kids like Goofy's Barnstormer or BTMR befor trying Splash or Space Mountains, see how they handle a ride like Snow White's Scary Adventures if you're considering Tower of Terror etc... Also, it helps to know what frightens your child. My DD4 is great on things like BTMR and Kali River Rapids  but is afraid of "monsters" so we avoid things that have ghosts etc...so Tower of Terror is out for her.:scared1:
DS8 on the other hand is not afraid of the dark or spooky things but has always had a stomach that is sensitive to drops and therefore does not do well on Tower of Terror.
Just be careful not to push them too quickly. That can make them afraid of the simplest things. Good luck!
