Height issues at Universal?

I've read in many places that those who are "pooh sized" are not fitting on many of the WWOHP rides. I'm wondering if there are any issues with height. We are both tall - 5'10" and 6'3" - and I certainly don't want that to be an issue for us if we pay to get into the park just to see this attraction. Thanks!

My husband is 6'2" and has no problems anywhere there. Just like roller coasters though, there is a width issue. I'm not a small gal but I fit. Before you get on the rides though, they do have a seat out front where you can plop yourself into and make sure you fit. :rotfl: I've checked just to save myself an embarrassment

Thanks Bonniec! Thankfully we don't have to worry about the weight issue but the height issue can be more of a problem then you would think! If your husband can fit at 6'2" then I think we shold be fine :thumbsup2

I think those heights are actually more in the normal range for rides rather than tall. Now...if you are pushing 7 feet maybe but I would venture a guess that you would both be fine.

I'm 6'3" and had no problem with any of the rides at Uni. Now if you are tall, I would strongly suggest you don't raise your arms on Space Mountain, but that is another story...:crutches:

I would guess that 6'3" is fine. Most over-the-shoulder restraints don't start running into trouble until about 6'6". Of course, it all depends on body type. If you have a longer-than-proportional trunk, that can make a difference.

At universal the ride i've heard the most issues with when it comes to height is Dudley Doright's log flume ride because of the design of the lap-bar. I've never ridden it so I can't speak from experience sadly.

Beyond that, I'm 6'6" and at Universal I've never really had an issue fitting on any rides, and I'm assuming my legs and upper body are probably going to be longer than yours. Sometimes for lap-bars I'll have to resort to the ole "cross your ankles" trick, but there hasn't been anything that's been a real issue.

At Disney things are a bit more complicated. Boat rides like Small World and Pirates require sitting sideways to fit my legs, and Space Mountain is painful because of the T-Bar and how wide my legs have to be spread to get it down to my lap. (But again, at 6'2" i don't think you'll have that problem)

Thanks all! Space Mountain is such a problem for me - even at 5'10" because of the way it's designed and sometimes Big Thunder Mountain is no treat eather - I hit my knees! But it sounds like we will be ok at Universal. :goodvibes
