I don't know what my DIS time will be like over the next few days but I wanted to wish you and Tom the most MaGiCaL time in Disney!!!!! I can't wait to hear all about it when you get home. I am also jealous of all the great meets you have lined up!

Oh, Karin, you & Tom would have so enjoyed MF - and you could have attended most of the Meets without signing up beforehand. Everyone was sooo welcoming! But who am I to speak of such things being one of the most shy people on earth in a new group; One on one, not so much...well, not at all.

Oh.my.gosh. You are going to be there sooo soon!!!

We were all new to the boards and I was reading all about it, but I just didn't have the guts to join in.

Christine, only 4 more sleeps - today is almost over. We were shopping today and got a little present for little Max. Hope Tina won't hate me for it - it has "sound".
I got my cruise line Dooney and Bourke out and the money sorted - we are getting ready and I still cannot believe that next weekend we will go to see MICKEY!!!!!!!!

Karin and Tom I am sooooo happy for you !!Just a few more days !!!

Yes, finally an update!

Tom and I have been shopping today for a few more last minute things. I finished my planning/ADR/reservation number folder, printed out the Mousekeeping envelopes and got all our important stuff together (APs, TiW, tickets, money aso) and put it all in a pile in our onboard case. Friday is packing day!

So, here we go ........... I still owe you the rest of my plans!



Day 6, February 24, 2011 - Part 2

We hope to find a nice space to park the car close to the tram, then hop on the Monorail and into the Magic Kingdom.

Depending on how late it already is we will walk through the shops and do a little shopping before heading to The Plaza for lunch.

We need to try those fries that we missed last time! After lunch we will head back to the car and drive back to the resort for a walk around the resort, maybe a refreshing drink and some rest.

By early evening we will head back to the Magic Kingdom and ride the Peoplemover before we’ll enjoy the sights and sounds of the Main Street Electrical Parade.

And I guess we might even be able to squeeze in one more ride somewhere before the start of Wishes.

Depending on the crowds after the fireworks we will either try to ride a few things, depending on what has a short(ish) line at the tip board or just head back to the car to drive offsite and have some dinner. I guess we will just drive along Highway 192 and see what comes our way and tickles our fancy.

Then it will be time to drive back to the resort and do some serious packing, as I don’t want to have too much to do left over for the next day. Once we are done packing it will be time for bed.

Day 7, February 25, 2011 - Part 1

Day 7, February 25, 2011

We will try to get up pretty early and have breakfast at the Maya Grill before heading over to Animal Kingdom

where we should arrive right in time for rope drop. Our first stop will again be Expedition Everest for a Fast Pass, then get in line and ride going through the Standby line.

While waiting for our Fast Pass to get into effect we will most likely walk over and try to get on the Kilimanjaro Safari.

We might even do Flights of Wonder which we haven’t done in a very long time. After riding Everest again we will then leave the park and depending on how late it has gotten either spend a little time at Downtown Disney

or directly drive over to Epcot for lunch at one of our favourite restaurants, Le Cellier.

After lunch we will spend a little time strolling through the shops and picking up a few more souvenirs before making our way back to the car and back to the resort.

Karin, I love your PTR's!! Yours are similar to Kathy's, which always make me feel it's the next best thing to being there with you (although after I saw the last updates, almost pulled out a suitcase and looked up airfare!!).

Think I am more excited for your trip than I would be if I were going!

I am trying to get my other reports done, Jen, but with half term dawning upon me, it didn't leave me much time. But I am working on them! Most of the days are already typed in word, just need to put in the photos and post them.

Day 7, February 25, 2011 - Part 2

Day 7, February 25, 2011

After lunch we will spend a little time strolling through the shops and picking up a few more souvenirs before making our way back to the car and back to the resort.

I guess I will do the last bit of packing, just leaving the things necessary for the next morning out. Then we will rest a little as we have a long night ahead of us.

At around 6pm we will drive to the Epcot parking lot and get on the Monorail over to the Magic Kingdom.

We will then head for the Tomorrowland Terrace for the Wishes Dessert Party.

I love watching Wishes from all different angles and munching yummy desserts at the same time is just heavenly!

Once Wishes is over and we have sufficiently indulged in all the sweet treats we will march back to the exit, hop on the next Monorail, or even take the ferry back to the Ticket and Transportation Center and head back to Epcot for Extra Magic Hours.
I guess we will arrive shortly after Extra Magic Hours have already started and we will head for Soarin’ first. I guess next on the list will be Mission Space and Test Track if the wait is not too long.

Once we get to World Showcase I can see us snacking around it for a while. There are a few more things we want to sample. I guess the new Mexican Counter Service restaurant will be paid a visit and I guess we will share whatever we will order.

Maybe we’ll hit Norway or even Morocco. I hope we get to ride Spaceship Earth again before we leave.

We will then walk back to the car and drive back to the Coronado Springs Resort for some much needed good night’s sleep.

Day 8, February 26, 2011

Day 8, February 26, 2011

Our last day! We’ll have to fly home in the evening!

So, we’ll get up semi early and pack up the rest of our stuff, load everything in the car and check out of the resort. Our next stop will be the Contemporary for breakfast at The Wave.

Once we have filled our bellies we will then head over to the Magic Kingdom, always the park to go to on our last day. I guess we will pick up a Fast Pass for Space Mountain

when we first get to the park, then head on over through Fantasyland over to the Haunted Mansion.

I hope we’ll get to ride that without much of a wait. But I have no idea how the Princess Marathon will affect our plans. Our next stop will be Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

and Pirates of the Caribbean

and maybe we can even fit in another Jungle Cruise.

If we can get another Fast Pass by then we will most likely pick one up for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I guess a Mickey Bar or some other snack will be had too! I would love to ride the train around the Magic Kingdom if we have time to do that.

After a final ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad we will sadly say goodbye to the Magic Kingdom, vowing to be back in less than 6 months! We will head back to the car and drive to Downtown Disney. Our first stop will be Wolfgang Puck’s Express for our farewell lunch.

It has become a habit to have our first and last meal of a vacation there. Everything on the menu is very good, so what we will have will be a spur of the moment decision. One thing is certain though! I am going to have Crème Brulee for dessert!

After lunch we will most likely pay a visit to Goofy’s and Ghirardelli’s to pick up a few treats to take home.

Once everything is done we will need to track back to the car and finally head for the airport. I guess, even though we will have checked in online we will hit another long line at check-in and when we have finally got rid of our luggage we will still have time to have a final stroll through the shops at the airport, most importantly the Earport! At around 7.30 we will have to go through security and make our way over to the departure gate. If we are lucky and take off on time we might even catch a glimpse of the Epcot fireworks, like we did 2 years ago.
I guess they will feed us dinner once we have gotten to cruising altitude and then we will just take some sleeping aids to help us sleep through most of the flight.

Day 9, February 27, 2011

I hope we won’t wake up too early and we will already be close to Frankfurt by the time we do. If we wake up early enough they will offer some kind of breakfast on board, if not we will just wait until we have landed in Frankfurt. We will than track from one end of the airport to another and will most likely have a little snack somewhere at the airport.
Our second flight is a short one from under an hour and we will have a snack and a drink on board before we are back in our home town. I wonder if and how much snow will still be on the ground when we get back.
After picking up the car from the airport parking lot and driving home our vacation will be over – it is back to work the very next day!
