Heidi the cross-eyed possum

Here in NC (where Heidi is from originally) we call them a nuissance. Nothing more than giant hideous rats. But Germany seems to be enamored with her. She even has her own theme song. Whaddya think?

I hate possums! I call them giant rats too! lol However, years ago, DH worked with a man who had one as a pet. They said her fur was super soft. Still, ICK!

They are the most aweful, ugly looking things I've ever seen. And defiant and nasty too! Had one stop in the middle of the street once and stare down a car. Refused to move. They give me the willies and make my skin crawl. Sent straight from he** I tell ya.

ETA: And the one in the original post kind of looks like it's from a movie or something. It just doesn't look real. (Or does everyone know it's not real except for me?)

Possums are vile, vile creatures! When we first moved into our house, my doxies cornered one in the garage. It was fierce! We didn't know what it was, so I called my dad in the next town over (no idea what I thought he could do from thirty minutes away). The girls and I were so scared of it (couldn't see it was a possum...just heard the NASTY noises), that my dad called the nonemergency sherrif number. It took TWO officers to get the thing out of the garage. Vile...vile creatures.....
