Heavy Snow Warning

I am just south of Atlanta and one of our TV stations had nothing but news/weather on the air from early AM till 3:30PM. That was it. No other programming.

We got maybe 3-4" total but most of it melted. It was pretty to watch. Now the frigid air is supposed to come in and turn it all to ice. And IF I can't get to work in the AM they will come get me. Crap.

We talked about driving up above Montgomery so our kids could see the snow....but we decided to just stay here in Pensacola...our last real snow here was in '93.

Oh, oh! Don't tell DH that Central Alabama gets "heavy snow". We're thinking of retiring there in a few years(Oxford area) and one of his requirements is NO SNOW!

Not to worry, this is not a common occurrance. Actually we never even got any. There is usually a small threat every January, but we never see anything. We might get one morning of a few flurries every 5 years, but they melt before touching the ground.

We are in one of the areas that was specifically reported to be getting 2-4 inches and we didn't even get one flake.
