Heavenly beds at the Dolphin yet ?

I read last year there were Heavenly Beds replacing the 'old' beds at the Swan.
Then the Dolphin would have their beds replaced.

Do the 'normal' rooms (floors 6 and below) have the Heavenly Beds yet ?

We stayed on the 5th floor last June and he beds were fine.
No complaints (or backaches).

The Swan is a Westin property. Westin owns the "trademark" on the Heavenly Bed. The Dolphin is not a Westin property, so while they might be getting new beds, they won't be getting the "Heavenly Beds".

I made ressies at the Dolphin last Monday. I asked if they have the heavenly beds yet and was told that some rooms do and they are in the process of getting them for all of the rooms!

We just returned form a 5 day stay at the Swan. We stayed on the 3rd floor and the it was one of the BEAUTIFUL remodeled rooms with the Heavenly Bed. I asked a staff member about the rooms and they said that they have remodeled all the rooms at the Swan to the 6th floor, and will finish the Swan (all 12 floors by March 2003. The they will begin the remodel of the Dolphin. I think since the Dolphin is not a Westin but a Sheraton property they will not have the Westin trademark "Heavenly Bed". I saw on a Starwood promotional video about the new beds at Sheraton-they are similar to the heavenly Bed but have another name.

Lucky people to have those heavenly beds. We stayed in the Westin in St. John and the beds are out of this world!!!!!!!Definately worthy of the name.

I just returned from a six night stay at the Swan, 3rd floor, with Heavenly Bed. My husband and I did not like it at all! I found it too soft. Plus all those coverings! We had enough bedding for a night in the Arctic. We took off the comforter immediately -- it weighed a TON! And we could never get the room cool enough for our taste, so we took off the other comforter too, and just slept with one sheet.

I had been looking forward to the Heavenly Bed so much, so I was disappointed with it. Goes to show that there's no way of pleasing everyone!

I stay in a lot of Westin & Sheraton properties and they both have a version of the "Heavenly Bed" Sheraton calls theirs the "Sheraton Sweet Sleeper" bed.
I just stayed at a new Sheraton last week for 5 nights, and 2 weeks ago I stayed at a Westin for a couple of nights - I really couldn't tell the difference they were both nice. I am sure just getting a redo of the beds will be a nice improvement for the both Swan & Dolphin - the whole "Heavenly Bed" thing is kinda a gimmick you know!
But believe me I am all for it - we are staying 12 nights at the Dolphin in April and I hope our bed is decent!!

it is all starwood. They can slap whatever name they want on them. Probably basicially the same thing. Just like the W hotels have there own branded beds that you can purchase just like the Heavenly bed.

BOTH of these beds are made by SERTA PERFECT SLEEPER for these chains of hotels operated by the Starwood company. I enjoy both, and enjoy the "fluff" of the down and duvet, and the nice thread count of the sheets!
