No. From the DCL website:
Q.What items are prohibited on board the ship and on Castaway Cay?
A.In order to maintain a safe and secure environment for all Guests and crew, the following items are prohibited on board Disney Cruise Line ships. If found, the items listed, and anything similar, will be held in storage for the duration of the cruise. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Items prohibited on board ship and on Castaway Cay.

  • Electrical appliances such as rice cookers, hot plates, coffee makers, blenders, electric irons, electric blankets, heating pads, bottle sterilizers and warmers

Ugh! I get them in my leg, which still isn't as painful as the back. Someone told me magnesium helps with muscle spasms. Have you tried that?

Also, there are those Icy Hot things you can buy to stick on your back. DH uses them for back pain. He seems to like them. I'm sure there are other brands out there. They might be better than nothing.

Hot water bottle is an option. I've always found the tap water get plenty hot. Or you can ask for a pot of hot water from room service.

Thanks for the info. Guess I'll get a couple icy hot in case (I've used them with my ds in baseball). No matter what I'm going. I'd rather have alittle pain relaxing on ship than sitting at home.

Plan for hot tub time and maybe a hot stone massage at the spa.

I would also hit up my doctor for some Rx muscle relaxers too. You don't want to be stuck on a ship and have a serious flare up of back spasms. That happened to my husband on a trip once and he was almost crying from the pain.

Yup got my prescription muscle relaxers and I was looking at trying the acupunture. I've never done it but trust that disney would have a certified person doing it.

You can also try a TENS device. My wife also uses the Icy Hot Smart Relief for her back. Uses a CR2032 battery

I was going to suggest a TENS unit also. I have the same Icy Hot one and it works great, brought it on our last cruise and luckily only needed it once.
