We are flying into Heathrow in July and our plan is to take the Heathrow Connect to Paddington then take Circle Line tube route to High Street Kensington which is right near our hotel (Royal Garden Hotel). Do we need to purchase a tube fare for the Paddington to High street trip or is that included in our Heathrow Connect fare? Also, does this plan sound alright to you? Thanks for any help.

That would be two separate fares, as Heathrow connect/express is not on the Oyster system.

In view of the location of your hotel I would do,:-

Piccadilly line Heathrow>Earl's court, up escalator, District line to High St Ken (Edgware Road-service).

If you have allot of luggage you could change at Hammersmith, just walk across platform for District Line, (any Eastbound)but you would still have to change trains at Earls court to a different District line service, but again just a walk across the platform.

These are all on one ticket.

Andrew,

Thank you so much for the information. I looked up the route you are suggesting and it looks like that would work well for us. Just the one transfer and only pay one tube fare - sounds good. We will just have one suitcase each so going up the escalator will be no problem.
