Hello!

I will have a 4 hour layover at Heathrow (Sat, 6 June). Is that enough time to even consider heading into London? I've never been and would love to be there for even an hour, if possible.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you!

Kristen

IMHO I wouldn't risk it. You only need a hold up in traffic or on the tube and you wouldn't get back in time to clear security and catch your flight.

Heathrow is on the outskirts of London.
The tube would take about 40 minutes each way.
The express train takes about 15 minutes, but would take you to Paddington and you'd then need to walk/tube/bus from there to get somewhere more interesting.

I agree with Tony, it's too risky.

No.

Heathrow security can be long at times, depending on the travel load. Heathrow has the usual duty free shops, etc. but that should only keep you busy for all of an hour, if that. Find a bar, and get ready for the next flight.:)
