On the couple of occasions we have flown from Heathrow, we have just booked one of the Travelodges at £19/night. Have stayed once at the Central Travelodge (on Bath Road) and once at the T5 Travelodge - on both occasions, we couldn't find anything wrong with them.
In the past three years I have stayed at the Marriott and Sheraton Skyline, both on Bath Road, along with the Crown Plaza. I think the Crowne Plaza is the nicest
We have only used a hotel at Heathrow once and stayed at the Travelodge M4. We couldn't get a hotel this year for the night before our flight (damn Olympics) so we are getting a taxi the morning of the flight instead. To say I am having kittens about making it to the airport on time is an understatement
Dont you lot remember the time Alex was in hospital having stitches a few hours before our flight after he fell on my mums mat when we went to collect her~ we made it by the skin of our teeth and lied about how long hed had the stitches in.....god thank the man in the hospital that year or we wouldnt have made it!!....learned my lesson the hard way and will always be night before for us despite living less than an hour away in good traffic!!!
