Heath Ledger has passed away :MEMORIAL PICS POSTED

" Don't report crap until the cause is OFICIALLY released and then let everyone mourn."

Amen to that.

It situations like this that make me so glad that the Internet is around.

Everyone from people like us to celebrities to even Perez Hilton were condeming ET and they got them to not shoe the whole tape.

BUT I think they showed too much as it is, especially since he never does anything on the tape and the worst thing he says is that he USED to smoke 5 joints a day. Whippidedoda. Especially if we get the tox report and it says he died of natural causes.

ET has totally lost me as a viewer.

Don't report crap until the cause is OFICIALLY released and then let everyone mourn.

I totally agree!!!! I am totally PO'ed at ET and they have also lost me as a viewer. I remember when ET use to be an entertaining show that talked to celebs about their new movies and such now it is not any better then the trashy tabloids!

I swore I would stop watching ET when they were showing James Brown's corpse every night for a couple of weeks. I then allowed myself to get sucked back in. Now I am done with them, not even Donny Osmond can bring me back:rotfl: I still watch Access Hollywood. They are almost as bad, but per Billy Bush they never pay anyone for an interview. Same can't be said for ET.

ETA: Billy Bush has a blog on the Access Hollywood website where he talks about ET and the tape. I really like to read his blogs, he can say things that he can't on air.

How sick is it that someone was impostering his father(and he got pretty far with it too)? http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,325796,00.html
You can not believe everything you see and hear.
I loved it when Ryan Seacrest(on E) said "he(Heath) not once in 10 years ever gave this show anything to report about."

That is pretty bad!! I just can't believe what some people will do to take advantage of others.

Good for Ryan Seacrest. I think there has been a bit of a back lash towards some of the gossip places about all the fasle stories out there!

It is being reported today that the toxicology results should be in today or tomorrow. I hope that the reports can give his family some peace.

Fox news just reported it was an accidental over dose of prescription medication.

Now they're adding it was an acute intoxication from prescription medication abuse. They read a list of a bunch of prescription meds found in his system.

PERTH, Australia — Actor Heath Ledger died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs that included painkillers, sleeping pills and anti-anxiety medication, the New York City medical examiner said Wednesday.

"Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine," medical examiner's spokeswoman Ellen Borakove said in a news release.

The drugs are the generic names for the OxyContin painkiller, the anti-anxiety drug Valium, Xanax, an anti-anxiety drug, and the sleep aids Restoril and Unisom. Hydrocodone is another name for ibuprofen.

Earlier, Ledger's former girlfriend and "Brokeback Mountain" co-star Michelle Williams arrived in Perth for the actor's funeral Wednesday with their 2-year-old daughter, Australian media reported.

Dressed in black, Williams carried her daughter, Matilda, into the airport terminal after arriving from New York, News. Ltd. newspapers reported on its Web site.

The 27-year-old Williams and Ledger became a couple during filming of the gay romance "Brokeback Mountain" in which they costarred as husband and wife. They later moved to New York, and had Matilda, who was born October 2005.

Mara Buxbaum, a publicist who represents both Ledger and Williams, didn't immediately respond to a reporter's e-mail seeking confirmation of Williams' arrival in Perth.

Earlier Wednesday, a handful of young people in casual wear were seen entering or leaving the house of Ledger's mother, Sally Ledger-Bell, without speaking to reporters waiting outside.

Ledger's parents and other close relatives arrived Tuesday in Perth after spending nearly two weeks in the U.S. immediately following his death.

Family members attended a memorial ceremony in Los Angeles at the weekend, but have kept funeral arrangements a closely guarded secret. They are reportedly planning a private service in Perth and will either bury his body or inter his cremated remains in the city.

There was no indication that Ledger's remains have arrived in Australia. There was no sign of activity at the family's plot in Karrakatta Cemetery Wednesday.

Ledger, who was nominated for an Oscar for his role in "Brokeback Mountain," died in his New York City apartment Jan. 22. He was 28. Authorities suspect a drug overdose, but toxicology tests are still pending. Police said several prescription drugs were found in the apartment where his body was found.

The New York Chief Medical Examiner's Office is expected to comment this week on the cause of Ledger's death, after the results of toxicology tests are received.

Buxbaum has said the family wants to keep funeral arrangements private, and Williams has requested privacy for those in mourning.

Ledger's "Brokeback Mountain" co-star Jake Gyllenhaal also plans to attend the funeral, according to local media reports.

As Ledger's hometown prepared for his funeral, residents of the idyllic and isolated city in the southwest corner of Australia expressed sadness at his sudden death -- and outrage at rumors that he was a drug user.

Much of that speculation was fueled by video footage showing Ledger at a Hollywood hotel party where drugs were being taken two years ago.

Ledger was a source of pride for Perth -- a metropolis of about 1.3 million people that lies on the edge of Australia's vast Outback and is thousands of kilometers (miles) from the nearest major city.

Well, we know some people will be happy about this...

How awful, how preventable..... His poor family, may he rest in peace...

Not that I am happy, but there is closure at least. Anyone could have made the same mistake, and he probably had no clue that it would come to an acute intoxication.
RIP Heath

hydrocodone is Vicodin not ibuprofen

I'm sorry but I don't see how anyone could not know they could die from taking. Oxycodone, Vicodin, Xanax, Valium and 2 sleep aids at the same time

Thank you for pointing that out. How could they be so stupid to get that one wrong.

Since WHEN is Hydrocodone and Ibuprofen the same thing????? Hydrocodone is a narcotic. Last I checked, the "street" value of ADVIL was pretty low.

Yeah, you pretty much know taking two sleeping aids, valium, vicodin, xanax and what else did it say? is not really a good idea, I don't care who you are.

My guess is that you'd have to be in a pretty bad way to do it. I have had spells of not being able to sleep and, I'll admit, I've gotten pretty desperate with my meds (Xanax and Benadryl together for instance). But I would be way to fearful to put all those together.

Well all the heavy-hitters of prescription drug abuse are there... OxyContin, Valium, Xanax, and Vicodin.

just sad all around. I can't imagine any respectable Dr prescribing this combination of pills.

The issue with the doctor is were they all prescribed at the same time.

In dealing with my own sleep issues and some anxiety I have everyone of these medications in my closet (the OxyContin and Vicodin were for previous surgeries). My doctor(s) did not prescribe them all at once. For instance, I hated Ambien. I took two of them so I have 28 left in my cabinet. I hated Valium so I have 28 in my cabinet, and so on. I haven't thrown them out. But my doctor also did give me simultaneous prescriptions for these drugs.

They could even have been prescribed by different doctors or not prescribed to him at all.

I thought that they had determined that what the did find in his residence were prescribed to him. However, I wonder if all the drugs in his system were also found at his residence and prescribed to him?

The ones that truly concern me are the OxyContin and Vicodin which are pain killers. Not sure why he would need those and docs are pretty tough on handing them out without a real compelling reasons.

I am happy that he wasn't full of cocaine, crack, or heroin.
