Are there portable heaters at the outdoor restaurants in the parks when the temperatures get chilly? We'll be out in early December, and I know that it could get cold, especially at dusk and later.

Rancho Zocalo has heat lamps. But even in December temps are in the 70's so I think you will be fine.

Most of them don't have heaters. I remember one very cold day trying to find any food inside and finding all inside places needing reservations - in CA at least.

There are some Decembers where the evenings are quite cold in SoCal. Last year -- early December (right around when you'll be there, gmi3804) -- it was 30 degrees at night. It was probably already 40 degrees by 6 p.m. or so, and then it dropped even lower.

So the heater/heat lamp question is a very good one.

One restaurant that I know of that has them outside is Rainforest Café in DTD. I thought that some of the other DTD restaurants (such as Jazz Kitchen) might have had them too.

I could have sworn that the BBQ in Frontierland has heat lamps, but maybe not.

Rancho Del Zocollo has them as does Plaza Inn. Cove bar in DCA has them. I'm sure others do too.

In DTD, Tortilla Joes has them. I think Jazz Kitchen has them also. ANd I belive La Brea has them also.

What about WCT--does it have heat lamps? And what happens when it rains--thank you--We have a big party reservation in early December

Yes, WCT has heat lamps. If it's breezy, they don't do a lot of good! We were right under one early April and still froze! But, we're people that run cold. Can't say about rain. I've not experienced that.
