Heated Pools?

In the colder months (December, January, February), are the Disney Resort pools heated? Thinking about planning another trip next winter and was wondering if my small kids will still be able to enjoy the pools if the weather is only in the 70's.

Yes, they are heated. But it is the getting in and out, especially out of the pool that is so hard when it is cool outside. If your head gets wet it will feel pretty cold too while the rest of you is in the pool.

When we went to CBR over Thanksgiving week 2 years ago and it was in the high 60's. I wanted to get in that pool so much, but I just couldn't do it. There were other braver, hardier souls in there though so maybe my blood has just thinned out too much being in Fl year round now!

Your kids will enjoy the pools even if the weather is in the 50s (especially if you are coming from a cold climate) because they will be so happy to be swimming in Jan/Feb. Certainly, if it is in the upper 60s or low 70s, they will be fine. (Whether you will enjoy the pools if the temperature is at that level is another question entirely.)

The pools are heated, but I don't think they were heated enough to compensate for cold weather (IMO). Of course kids are pretty resilient, so if you have kids just have a big warm towell to wrap them up in when they get out of the water.

In the cooler weather, the hot tubs are still fun - or you can hop from the pool to the hot tub to warm up, so staying at a resort with a hot tub is a good idea. Once we stayed at CBR, and the walk back in the cold weather was pretty long...but we were pretty warm having come from the hot tub, so it wasn't bad.
