Anyone know if the temperature is adjustable on the windsor palms townhome heated pools? If not - anyone know what temperature it's set to? I anticipate it being low 70's by day, maybe 50's at night. Will DW and I be able to hang out in the pool at night after we throw the kids in bed?

I have been looking around and I know at Windsor Hills you can have heat for your splash pool, but there is a charge. What I have seen is $15.00 per day.

Typically the pool heat controls are locked up, and not adjustable by the guests. There are no temperature settings on the dials of the units, so they just have a color coded "range" stamped on the dial, from cool to warm. I would guess that our pool gets to roughly 80 degrees, and stays there both day and night.

The single most important thing you, the guest can do is to cover the pool with the pool blanket at night to prevent heat loss. If you don't, the pool will be cold in the mornings especially. The heaters are an air convection type of system, so they can only work when the air temp outside is above 55 degrees, which means they may not work at night, so important to keep the heat contained.

We swim in our pool at night all of the time, even in the cold periods or winter months, so shouldn't be an issue. I would suggest you check with the owner to make sure they do have a pool blanket for their home / pool.

I am trying to find out for you. Will post when I have an answer.

This is what I have found out.

Most splash pool heaters are set at a temperature which is not adjustable by a guest. The actual temperature that the pool is set to may depend on the owner/management company, but generally will not exceed 84-86 degrees (I believe that is the max)

With daytime temperatures around 70 degrees, a splash pool with an electric heat pump (which extracts heat from the air) should be able to reach the heating temperature of 84-86 degrees (it does in a pool at the pool homes which are larger than the splash pools), but keep a pool blanket on overnight or when the pool is not used. It helps keep the pool from loosing too much heat overnight and quicker to heat up to the set temperature in the daytime.

Hope that helps,

Thanks for the feedback!!! We're lookin' forward to our trip!!!

Definately use the pool cover if there is one available. My family only likes swimming in boiling water. Last June when it was hot, we found that without using a cover, by morning the water was pretty chilly. Especially because our heater was on a timer that only heated from 9am-7pm. The one time we swam at 11:00 at night, it was pretty chilly too.
