HEAT WAVE, beginning Nov 13th!

I looked up Anaheim on weather.com yesterday and saw it was supposed to be in the mid-80s for my DL days (11/13-16). That's fine with me, even into the 90s is fine with me! I just took my dog out and its cold here in PA, in the low 40s now and will hit freezing tonight, I'm excited for some warm weather!

I'll wait until Thursday morning to make the final decision but I live in SoCal and have been wearing jeans the past month or so and have been fine. I get cold easily so I would rather be a bit on the warm side during the afternoon than be freezing in the morning and evening. But if it looks like it won't cool down then I'll rethink my plan. I'll actually be 10 min from DLR on Wednesday afternoon so i'll get a good feel for how the weather could be Thrus. although I think it is supposed to be hotter on Thurs than Wed. So we'll see what my final wardrobe decision is.

i hope you are able to plan it just right, and end up very comfy!

i lived in socal for 30 years myself, and then we moved out of state in 2003. our first trip back to DL was in october of that year. i checked the weather forecast, which said like high 70's, and packed shorts and t's for the kids, but jeans and t's for myself. we were there for 5 days, every day ended up in the high 90's (ugh), and i was so uncomfortable.

dressing too warm at DL is now something i dread accidentally doing, lol.

My family and I were there the 2nd thru the 7th of november and it varied from 75-85 degrees the whole time we were there with the exception of a small sprinkling on the first day for about 1/2 an hour. My advice....short sleeves or tank top with a light weight hoodie that you can shed to a locker, we all did it and it was great when the evening air got a little nippy!

I am so glad I caught this post!!! I was planning on packing mostly long pants, with a pair of shorts for each 'just in case.' Now I can split it so we can decide each day. We always bring in jackets for the evenings, but this time in 2006 we had to have hats and gloves and even scarves a couple of nights...it doesn't sound like that will be this trip! YEAH! Plus, my family will ride GRR and Splash with me if it is hot.

Awww man...I'm gonna be there Friday and I was hoping it'd be a nice sunny cool day.
I guess I gotta break out the Disney spray fan! That thing has saved my life on HOT Disneyland days!

I hear you! Actually I am surprised I will not be there for this heat wave, since I am sure I caused the hot days in May. I try to go to DL to escape the heat, so naturally it follows me. Expect a heat wave or blizzard on January 10 when I come back (want to see our March WDW pictures with snow/tornadoes/freezing weather?)

I hope everyone realizes that Saturday and Sunday, the 15th & 16th, will be the hottest days. On Monday, temps are suppose to drop and continue through the week.

I just checked weather.com and the temp for thursday the 13th has gone down by 2 degrees, from 83 to 81 (not sure about the weekend since we are only going on thurs) so maybe it won't be quite as hot as we thought it was going to be. Of course, you have to add about 5 degrees to get closer to the actual temp inside DL but 81 (or 86 in the parks?) doesn't sound so bad to me. I'm from a fairly warm inland area of SoCal which isn't as hot as Arizona but it does stay in the 100s pretty much the whole summer (not to mention spring and fall ) so, to me, it sounds like it will be a pretty nice day.

I did notice this, but it actually concerns me more...coming from home, if the weather was high-mid 70's right away, it would feel great...but after two days of 90's, the twenty degree drop may seem more extreme than it actually is.

I am fine either way, I would rather be in Disneyland too hot or too cold than anywhere else!!! So bring it on Mother Nature, it is all fine by me!
