Howdy. Can anyone tell me typical temps in Orlando mid november? A friend (about 2 hours south west) said to expect 80's I think. I have issues being able to regulate my temp in the heat so this is a big deal for me. DS and DH have no issues with regards to this. Thinking I could end up spending a lot of time in the gift shops while they are in line in the heat....???? Will they let me bring my own water bottle in the parks?

Because of the heat we're thinking we'd like to go to a water park or 2 while we are there. Son is barely 4. He absolutely LOVES LOVES LOVES the water, but has not really learned how to swim. It doesn't look like we can bring his own life vest by the websites. Anyone know if this is true. Thankfully DS doesn't mind his vest at all since it allows him extra water time. If anyone else has kids that use vests, are you comfortable with them going on water slides and stuff with them?

Was thinking it would be cool to do typhoon lagoon b/c of the swimming with the fish...but I have no idea how to get my son to NOT kick his legs. This could end up being a frustrating experience. Not sure what else at this park is really unique from others.

Anyone with little ones try a different water park? I've heard there are a couple of smaller ones in the area, but I'm not sure if they are open in November. I'm concerned about buying tix in advance too because I'm not sure about it being too cool.

Thanks for any info.

We were there in mid-November last year and the weather was beautiful. It wasn't too hot at all, but we were never cold either.

We did spend a day at Typhoon Lagoon and the crowds were non-existent. We didn't wait in line for anything. I thought kids could bring their own life vests into the parks but I'm not positive. However, they supply the vests for free to the kids, you just need to show some ID. I think your son will love Typhoon Lagoon. I'm not sure how many slides he'll be able to do but he will love the kid's play area. My boys also loved the river and the family raft ride.

Oh, and you can definitely bring your own water into the parks.

Hope that helps, have a great time!

Please remember that it only hits the high temperature for a little while in the afternoon. I don't think you will be hot at all if the high is low 80s. Much of the day will be in the 70s, evening and mornings even cooler.

I think I read somewhere children must be at least 9 years old to swim with the sharks.
