Phew!!! I'm so glad to finally have a plausible explanation! An imposter! I should have known! Poor Plute-y. I'm glad to report that he apparently made a perfect recovery, because we ran into him a few more times over the next week and a half, and he was clearly the REAL Pluto!

Oh, Ruthie, you are so sweet! I actually ordered a Christmas-PJ-wearing Pluto for her for Christmas, so I think she's set. I do LOVE that Christmas Plute-y though. So adorable!!!

It was such a relief that Pluto managed to return and take back his rightful spot at WDW and on DCL. PHEW!

I adore Willow's dress, it's the exact material and so cute :

The dress is so great - each leaf is an appliqué - a lot of work goes into that! I'm so grateful to my dear DIS friend Shannon for sending it to Willow.

So, check out my ticker! I can't believe our little birthday trip is coming at us so fast!

I actually made some dining ADRs tonight. I don't know how necessary they are as it is much easier to get into restaurants at DLR, but now that we can finally make ADRs on-line for DLR, I thought I'd give it a try. Plus, I really want us to see the World of Color show this time, and I thought the best way to accomplish that would be to book a WOC dining experience, which would give us tickets to a priority viewing area. Hopefully, that works out!

Other than that, I only booked two other dinners and a breakfast. The CS food at DLR is VERY good, so we will likely do that for other meals. And walk-ups are do-able there, so if we really want a TS meal, we can get one. Starting to get excited about this little trip!

A Wet Ride​

Having finally secured our ‘Ohana picture, we found ourselves waiting for a monorail at just a few minutes after 9:00.

​

We got to the MK at about 9:15. Yep - looking pretty crowded!

​

Willow was always very careful to get her bag checked.

​

Before too long, we were in!

​

Our plan had been to head to Space Mountain first, but it was down, so we switched gears and headed over to Splash Mountain. I am not a huge fan of this attraction - okay, I have bad memories of spending the first half of a MNSSHP soaking wet and cold. But DD really wanted to give it another chance, and in this heat, getting a little wet might not be nearly so bad.

There were beautiful sights along the way, of course.

Soon we had reached our destination, and the posted wait time was totally doable.

​

We made our way through the queue very quickly.

​

Soon we were ready to load. We were careful this time and requested the last row.

​

And we had a great time!!

​

After Splash, we snagged some FPs for BTMRR and then headed to our next MK must-do.

Whew! So I am all caught up. Willows dresses are sooo cute, I thought the Minnie was my favorite because of those sparkly shoes. But, the Lilo outfit was awesome. And I love Willow's selfies. The hair cut looks great! So I was totally enjoying the character meets, but that Pluto was just strange. I am glad Willow wasn't upset about it. I would have been giving him the crazy face for sure. You have to appreciate great CM's they really help to make it wonderful at Disney.

I just discovered the cutest thing since...well...Willow scrolling with the computer mouse through the pictures of the interaction with Stitch gives the effect of one of those flip books like live action and it felt like I was right there watching it ....LOVE the shot with him leaning on the table while she goes on and on talking Forgot to mention how much I love her dresses and her Lilo one for that day

Now that we determined the Thug saga nice to know he was a sweetie the rest of the time.....ordered the PJ Pluto for myself last night Hey listen if you ever do need/want something picked up at WDW just say the word, I'm fortunate as I'm there all the time

Three Little Fairies​

After Splash and some FP collection, Miss Willow had to transform herself into a certain winter fairy. And then we headed over to the Fairy meet-and-greet spot for a VERY LONG wait. Ugh - the wait at that place is just painful, even with the movie shorts playing for the kids. Just winding around a rope for almost an hour is just not fun. But someone was very excited!

Even her feet were ready for this one!

​

This wait would be absolutely impossible without the movie shorts.

​

So it looks like we got in this queue at 10:35 and were finally meeting Vidia at 11:18. Vidia was great - she knew immediately that Willow was dressed as Periwinkle and made a lot of cute jokes about her sister Tink.

​

I didn’t have an autograph page for Vidia since, at the time I was making them, Rosetta was meeting. I did, of course, come prepared with plain pages for those characters we weren’t expecting.

​

Unfortunately, Tink had no idea who Willow was supposed to be, so I felt kind of bad about the poor costume design. Willow had fun meeting her though, and that’s all that matters.

​

Based on the stock photo with Periwinkle, I don’t think the costume was that far off the mark though.

​

After the long wait for the fairies, we were ready for some action! So we headed to BTMRR to use our FPs.

​

We just love this attraction so much!

We Need More Characters!​

After our ride on BTMRR, we had some important lunch plans. It was about noon, and we were headed to the Crystal Palace!

​

We had a short wait with a beautiful view.

​

For anyone who doesn’t know, Crystal Palace is a buffet featuring Winnie the Pooh and friends. We had had breakfast here before, but this was our first time trying lunch. It was good! (We hadn’t planned on doing this restaurant this trip, but when we learned that this would now be the only place to meet Eeyore, DD really wanted to add it, so I was lucky to get an ADR.)

Eeyore kind of sneaked up on DD before we had even gotten any food.

​

Eeyore’s tail is just precious.

​

Willow was in high spirits what with the characters and A/C and all.

​

Pooh Bear stopped by next. Silly ol’ bear.

​

We had a break in characters at this point and went to get some food. The chef had already visited and was wonderful - he had tons of gluten-free stuff on the buffet and made his own gluten-free brownies, which he offered up for dessert. I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed the lunch options here.

We actually had quite a long character break here, but it was perfect. We were able to eat our meals and even go back up for desserts. And then Tigger paid us a visit.

Finally, Piglet came by to finish off our character meet-and-greets at Crystal Palace!

​

When we pulled out our autograph book here, I realized I hadn’t made a Piglet page! Again, I was glad that I had included generic pages in every set of pages.

​

DD has never been a HUGE Winnie the Pooh fan as far as the stories and movies, but she just LOVES meeting the Pooh characters at Crystal Palace. So I think we will continue to visit this establishment.

Up Next: A Short Break from the Heat

I love the picture of vodka and willow where vodka is leaning on willows head. That is super cute! And I know willow was periwinkle as soon as I saw her--not sure how tinkerbell could miss that one. We have a CP breakfast ADR before the park opens and then my plan is to sprint over to see the fairies when we're done. I just couldn't bring myself to stand in line that long last time we were there so I'm hoping for 30 minutes or less. Fingers crossed!

We love BTMRR! It's always so fun!

I’m back to catching up. Thanksgiving was a little rough around our house – heat went out Thanksgiving morning and they couldn’t get the part to fix it till Tuesday (luckily we don’t live where it is too cold but still!) and then I got the flu! Needless to say, Christmas is barreling at me even faster now!

Yeah, to the new ticker! We are hoping to plan a DL trip either next fall or in 2015, I’ll have to get pointers from you because we NEED to know all the inside info about the characters in DL!

Seriously??? Tink didn’t know that Willow was Periwinkle? How is that? Even I knew who she was and Periwinkle isn’t my sister!

That outfit is even more adorable than the others! Great job!

Your picture of Eeyore’s tail made my smile, I have take a picture of his tail each time. My girls and I think his pink bow is just too cute!

That is so bizarre about the Pluto meet and greet. You can definitely tell from the pics that he wasn't into it. I would feel super uncomfortable too, boo. I'm glad Willow didn't really notice though.

Love Willow's costume changes! The wait for the fairies always looks so long. Good for you for getting through it! That's pretty smart that they have those TV's.

Oh, thanks! I will admit that I felt a bit dejected when she thought it was a Silvermist costume. I hung on to the fact that Vidia recognized her instantly. I felt bad for Willow though.

Oh, I know! We actually did get quite a few PP and cruise professional pics (spoiler - family portraits on the cruise!) this trip - way more than we ever get in regular life. It's the main reason that I pay for PP for every trip. :yes:

Oooh, I hope you go in 2014 - maybe we will be there too using our APs! The great thing about DLR is that you really don't have to do any research. It is very user-friendly. I was nervous on Willow's 5th-birthday trip because I had no idea what to expect (hadn't been since I was a teen), but you can totally wing it there. It is AWESOME!

That said, of course, I would be happy to help in any way I can! I added our 5th-birthday trip at the end of my first TR, and I kind of think I will do the same with this TR - just tack that mini-trip on at the end.
